patek 5905p. Long term value
Thinking of buying a patek 5905p with blue face. If purchased for 62,000 dollars now what is your guys long term forcast on price? Will I lose a lot of money when traded later of will it appreciate?
5140G dial options ?
I am a little confused by the dial colour options of the 5140G. I am seeing them advertised with a silver dial and an opaline white dial. From what I can see the model started out with a silver dial which must, at some point, have changed to the current white dial. However, I don't detect any changes in the reference sub-number (if they have a sub-number at all they all seem to be 5140G-001). Can anyone cast any light on whether there was a change, if so when it happened, and whether there should be different reference numbers ?As a PS, has there ever been a 5140P with a white dial ?
Pam 104, should I?
Hi guys, thought about adding the 104 to the stable, so far I have 422, 164, 112, to name a few.Anyone had any negative experiences with the 104?Thanks in advance guys!
Rolex Primer
Hello everyone. Total newbie here. I haven't even purchased my first Rolex yet. But, I've been researching quite a bit. I saw the abbreviations thread (thanks for that). But I'm trying to understand the Rolex numbering scheme.Anyone have a Rolex primer on what pattern is used in the numbering system? In my research, I really like the Stainless Steel DateJust 41, Oyster, Rhodium or Silver face, Smooth Bessel. It seems like a well rounded first Rolex that can fit as an every day wearer that can be more casual or formal. I've found it as low as 6100 on Truefacet (but usually closer to 6400) and as high as the list 7350 at the local AD. But when you add 10% sales tax, it is difficult to pay a 20% premium just to buy it locally.I'd love any and all advice or direction. Any really obvious pitfalls I'm overlooking?
