Watch Insider: Montblanc Collection Villeret 1858 ExoTourbillon Rattrapante
Recently I had the opportunity to see the latest masterpiece from Montblanc’s Villeret collection, the 1858 ExoTourbillon Rattrapante, presented by new Montblanc CEO Jr?me Lambert. In this article, originally run on my blog, Watch Insider, I explore the watch and provide original photos and a short HD video. The Montblanc Collection Villeret 1858 ExoTourbillon Rattrapante was one of the most spectacularly complicated timepieces at the Hong Kong “Watches and Wonders” watch fair, where it made its debut. It was developed by the chronograph specialists at the former Minerva, now a part of Montblanc, and offers a challenging new take on the rattrapante, the most complicated type of chronograph to produce.Unlike a conventional tourbillon, Montblanc's ExoTourbillon frees the large screw balance from the burden of the rotating cage. Bremont Limited Edition MBII/TWG Watch for The Watch Gallery
Bremont Watches has announced a limited edition version of the MBII pilots watch for the British retailer The Watch Gallery. This new model, the MBII/TWG, sports a very handsome midnight blue case barrel (the standard MBII model offers either green, orange, or grey) and has been fitted with a sapphire display back that is similar to what is used on the new Bremont ALT1-WT World Timer. The MBII was one of Bremont's break out models and effectively offered open availability of the MBI, which is only available to pilots who had actually ejected in a Martin-Baker aircraft ejection seat and is recognizable thanks to a bright red aluminum case barrel. From a watch perspective, the MBI and MBII are noteworthy due to their use of a proprietary anti-shock system which Bremont developed in a partnership with Martin-Baker to protect the BE-36AE movement from the extreme g-forces experienced by some pilots. I really like that the changes to the MBII/TWG are subtle enough to make the watch easily re

It is a bargain at $40/shot!Also it just so happened that my drink finished off a bottle, and so the bartender was nice enough to send the bottle home with meIt was a great birthday!
