Dzmitry Samal Watches In Concrete
Urban dwellers looking for an interesting new timepiece design may very well be taken by this fresh collection from Dzmitry Samal. The former car designer now has a line of timepieces and eye wear. His unique designs mirror dual influences from big city life and pop art culture. Each of these aesthetics is richly represented in the new watch collection which have the very first timepieces I have seen with actual concrete cases.According to Dzmitry Samal, the cases involve a patented new process with specially machined and polished concrete. Dzmitry Samal intentionally chose this "megalopolis inspired" material given its ubiquitous presence in city life. The concrete cases come in two forms and are cut into interesting shapes. The inner watch cases are in steel. Both cases are 42mm wide and attached to them are rubber straps. While Dzmitry Samal is French, the watches are said to be Swiss made. 26320 ST Black or white?
Since getting my ceramic diver, I've been thinking of getting another AP. One that's more 'dressy' to round things off as the diver is my daily beater.Eyeing the Royal Oak chrono for Christmas or early next year. But torn between black or white face. Black had more modern feel. White has more class. To me that is. What do you guys suggest?
Thoughts on the 15305st
Hi all,I wanted to solicit your thoughts on the AP 15305st. I've tried on the RG version a few times but I haven't seen the steel version yet. My main concern is if I would get bored of the skeletonized face (more of a novelty piece?). Thanks and pics are always welcomed.
Decided to pull the trigger...
As I posted a while back, had really not given a close look to AP until recently, but was hooked after a leisurely session trying on many models during a recent vacation. Landed on this one (15300ST in white). I think it's a classic -I love the workmanship, the proportions and the simplicity of the dial. Special thanks to DavidSW - he makes it way too easy!
TT Navitimer on NATO Pics
Thought I would do a little change up on my Navitimer. The only downside to having purchased it on a croc strap is that I really cannot get the watch wet. I do not dive or plan to spend any prolonged period of time in the water with my Navi (I have others for for that) but I do like to wear it when I fly and sometimes it gets a little wet when we haul in our rescue swimmers. Tell me what you think.
