Hands-On: With The Tissot Powermatic 80 Chronometer (Live Pics & Pricing)
Along with the vintage-inspired worldtimer, Tissot released an update of their popular Powermatic line at this year's Basel World. The new Powermatic 80 Chronometer is an extremely straightforward watch with an 80 hour power reserve and chronometer certified movement, giving you a lot of timekeeping power for your money. The handsome package is an added bonus and here's a hands-on look at this high-value watch from Tissot. 2 OF 10 80 Hour Power Reserve and COSC Chronometer Certification COSC-certification is nothing new for Tissot. A few months ago we gave you an in-depth review of their Le Locle Chronometre, winner of the 2012 Concours International de Chronometrie timing competition (spoiler alert, we liked it). The movement inside this Powermatic 80 Chronometer is a COSC-certified ETA C07.111, which is essentially an ETA 2824 with a beefed up 80-hour power reserve, lower friction materials, and a balance beating at 3Hz instead of 4Hz. Long Shot!
I'm looking for help RF'ers. I own, though hardly wear a ROO Safari. Partly due to spending a lot of time in tropical climates, this makes the hornback strap rather hot and sticky. Does anyone have photographs of a Safari on different colour rubber straps, I'm particularly interested in grey or brown. Many thanks for any help.
AP or PP?
Hi,I flipped my Hulk (last rolex I had), as Rolex stopped singing to me, to fund another AP. I'm missing a blue dialed watch. Had my eyes set on the Navy ROO, Blue ROC and the new blue Diver. I already have the Panda ROO and the 41mm Openworked. Ruled out the blue ROC as it was too similar with the RO I have. Now for the ROO's, the Navy ROO can be had for $19K BNIB, which is a great price. The blue chrono diver, however, is $25K. Not sure if I can justify the difference here.I was all set, until that day I started to look around at Patek 5711. That watch is a beauty. Now it can be had for $28K BNIB.I understand the above are totally different watches, but all I want is a blue dial watch and I'm open to all 3 options. I'm a huge AP fan but I think maybe it's time to get a PP? What do fellow AP fans think?

Perpetual calendar skydweller?
With the ingenious ring command bezel developed by rolex with the ym 2 and skydweller...from an engineering and production stand point how hard would it be to alter the movement to go from 28 to 1 when transferring from feb to March... instead of just recognizing months that change from 30 or 31 days?
