"Fukang Watch!" This Chinese watch maker contacted me recently to tell me about their company and status as OEM and promotional watch makers. I have a feeling they do most of their business in China. You have here a watch company that is no where near being ready to enter the Western market. While their intentions are good, my reaction to their website and marketing is nothing short of hilarity. Starting with the name, we can tell that although their website (szfukangwatches-dealer) has an English section, no one who actually speaks English spent any time on it. Again"Fukang" Watch. So our Fukang friends do everything from blatant design copies, to hideous Chinese military inspired watch creations, to stuff that isn't all that offensive on the eyes actually. There is a lot of competition out there for your diving watch dollars. With so many options, it is hard for us to find that single diving watch that will suffice. Well, for me there is no one watch. Instead I try to stretch my budget out to acquire as many diving watches as I can to satisfy that insatiable hunger. So for that I am happy that Dievas has a nice range of aggressively prices diving watches that embody the modern chic-strong look that many diving watches are adopting.The Oceantimer 1330 Blue has...a metallic blue face, large red toned minute hand, and a striking legibility. The maximum sized minute hand is supposed to allow for supreme visibility under water, and just looks cool. While it is hard to tell in the images, the minute hand is a rich red metallic tone with lots of luminant in the middle. The smaller hour and seconds hand are while, also with luminant.The Dievas doesn't feel the need to make a "huge" watch, so the size of the Oceantimer 1330 is a very sober 42mm.

Omega Constellation ref 168008Recently I came across an Omega Constellation model reference 168008 that was sold, on the popular auction market. The seller claimed, it is a rare Constellation vintage-watch.The description of the 1960's watch: Model reference 168008 with movement caliber 564: 18k solid yellow gold case (main case, back-cover and winding-crown), 18k solid white gold bezel and 18k solid white gold hands and also, the hour markers, Omega logo and star, as well as, Omega signature are all in 18k solid white gold, while the dial is in yellow gold color - no mention whether solid gold or otherwise. Is this a genuine and rare Constellation or it is a franken? Thank-you.
