Lange’s New 1815 Chronograph
Lange’s Datograph movement holds a special place in the hearts of many enthusiasts. When introduced, an image of the movement graced computer monitors around the world. In 2004, Lange launched the Datograph’s little brother, the 1815 Chronograph, which uses the same movement, with some modifications, the largest of which is the absence of the big date. For 2010, the 1815 Chronograph gets an update. The dial takes on a more classic, perhaps slightly more dressy look. The four level construction carries over, but the pulsometric scale is replaced with a standard seconds track providing excellent legibility of stopped times to 1/5 of a second. The A. Lange & S?hne name moves from the outer ring above 12 to the more traditional position below 12. At 39.5mm, the case retains its classic size. Breitling Basel Preview: Avenger Seawolf Chrono Blacksteel Limited Edition
At Baselworld 2010, Breitling will unveil a special version of the Avenger Seawolf Chrono C the only chronograph that is watertight and fully operational at a depth of 1,000 meters or 3,300 feet. The new Blacksteel limited edition features a 45.4 mm steel case sporting a black carbon-based treatment. The standout feature however is Breitling’s patented magnetic pushpiece system. This system, a Breitling exclusive, activates the chronograph controls through the metal of the case, without any direct mechanical contact. This approach circumvents the Achilles heel found in traditional chronograph cases – the holes in the case and the mechanical pusher-movement interface. Breitling’s unique system eliminates the holes, allowing this chronograph to function at extreme depths. This diver’s chronograph is also equipped with a decompression valve and a glareproof sapphire crystal for optimal readability. Breitling’s SuperQuartz caliber provides a level of accuracy
By the Way Where's Thomas???
I guess with the time zone difference he is already in bed and tomorrow it will be like Christmas morning when he gets to find this awesome place.
Does position of the moonphase look correct?
For those of you that have moon phase Patek, does this look correct for today's date? Looking at the Patek site, it seems it should be more advanced forward. I've never paid attention much since initially set it couple months ago, but it seems it has not moved much last couple of days. Please post your pics with today's date and positioning. Thanks
What is the current view of the PAM 359?
I have a chance to acquire one at a fair price, but know that some like the hour numbers all the way around, while others prefer the more traditional baton indicators for most, if not all, of the hour markers. Is this becoming a classic or a stain on the Panerai brand?Do tell, and don't hold back!
