Stowa Marine Review
If you're into German watches, you're likely already very familiar with Stowa. If not, here's the super abbreviated history. Stowa was founded in 1927 by Walter Storz, (Stowa being an abbreviation of his name STOrz WAlter). In the 30��s they designed and released Bauhaus watches, which informed their very popular Antea line available today. Famously, of infamously as it might be, they were one of the original manufacturers of Flieger watches during WWII. Their original factory was also blown up during said war. They moved to another area in Germany and continued to make watches for many decades. In 1996 J?rg Schauer, a renowned German watch maker,?took over the brand and all trademark rights. By introducing watches closely based on the brand's history as well as new, modern watches, such as the Seatime Prodiver, all while maintaining accessible prices, Schauer has reestablished Stowa as a popular brand.One of their historical lines that has always intrigued us is their Marine line. So I travel a lot and called an AD (not in my home town) who I talked to before and he has my name on the waiting list for the usual suspects (hulk and Daytona SS)Today I called to check my position on the list and as I was hanging up he said that they have a Batman If I'm interested!!It's really not a watch I've been wanting but would I be wrong passing the opportunity?I don't want to become grey market dealer and am not interested in the buy sell theme but what do yuh guys think?
