Blue 300M Chronometer -- Got a question....
So, I'm a current Omega owner looking to make the switch to Rolex. BUT then I see this watch, the 300M automatic with blue dial and bezel. Not yet seen in person, only on-line, but would anyone be able to compare the blue on this Omega with the Blue on the Rolex Submariner (pre-ceramic bezel model). I love the Rolex blue but am haunted by the beating that the gold PCL's on the TT oyster bracelet will take. Whereas the Omega is just a stainless bracelet, and mostly not shiney. So, I guess I'm asking what are your thoughts on this particular Omega watch, model number 2220.80.00. Thanks in advance, Chuck

Aquanaut 5167 or Nautilus 5711 for 26 year old.
Hello first time posting in Patek Forum. I am looking for my first Patek and not certainly my last. I wear a suit to work and work in investment and finances, I wear a Rolex but feel self conscious for being judged by older coworkers, i'm 26 years old. That being said the Aquanaut 5167 in Rubber looks like a super under the radar watch that I feel like I can wear with suit to casual. But I see the Nautilus 5711 as a grail watch for me but feel very flashy and wearing a $26000 wouldn't look to well at my age. So here is the question.-Should I buy the 5167 on rubber and save for the 5711 3-5 more year? Or just get 5711 first and 5167 later? I will get both eventually -How do you guys feel seeing a 26 year old with a Patek if you were my co workers or boss.-I know I should go with what my heart desires. I really want both watch. What watch will work better for someone at my age, Thank you!Sorry if I sound like a broken record.

Here's the story: I have had my eye on Panerai for awhile now, but hadn't really been able to pinpoint something I really had to have. I was thinking about the 676 for awhile, as I liked several aspects of it.I liked the sandwich dial, the sunburst dial, the exhibition caseback, the small seconds dial, the crown guard and the size.Let me be more specific on size: Whenever I tried on a more traditionally sized Panerai, it always felt too large and clunky for me. I don't have large wrists. I liked the look of the large Panerai, but it always felt like it was too much. So, I thought the 676 was a fair compromise.Fast forward to Saturday, December 15th. I went to my local jeweler to take another look at the 676. The employee I work with (who is AWESOME) said to me, You know, I think I know your tastes, and I want you to look at something else while you're here.Then, she pulled it out: A PAM729. Box and Papers?
Recently purchased first Panerai and trying to verify what documentation I may be missing. I don't plan on selling/flipping the watch, but if there is any supporting documentation I can obtain to offset any missing documents, I would like to work on it.What I have:-Outer black box which has sticker with bar code, PAM #, and same number that is on the watch (limited edition).-Wood box, looks like the standard Panerai light brown box-Booklet which provides history on Panerai, info on case, movement, care etc.-Another booklet which has International Guarantee and Limited Warranty. Watch was made in 2002, so warranty doesn't apply.-Card which includes original owner, individual watch number, purchase date, and authorized dealer.I brought watch to CD Peacock, which has one of few Panerai watchmakers in the Midwest. Had a small gathering with a few watch enthusiasts here in Montreal tonight. It was organized by Canadian watch collectors and WatchPaper.Had the chance (for the first time) to see small and big, old and new or 16610 and 116610 next to each other. Although the 16610 is somewhat more charming, with the smaller markers, black bezel and tapered lugs - I can safely say the 116610 is a sure better option for me.
