Watches NEWS
Hands-On, Literally, With the Eone Bradley
If I were to ask you to picture a wrist watch, perhaps you'd picture an iconic design like a Submariner, your personal favorite watch or maybe even what you are wearing at the moment. In any of those cases, you are likely imagining a metal case with a crystal of some sort above a dial with at least 2 (or perhaps 1) hands. All of them, whether by Patek or by Timex use the same conventions for displaying time, and aesthetics that while possible wildly different use similar vocabularies of markers, shapes, textures, etc… Well, occasionally a watch comes out that breaks, at least partially, from the norm to create something truly different. Often, these watches are different for the sake of being different, but the Eone Bradley was designed for a very specific reason. Before getting into the watch itself, it's worth knowing the background story and where the name comes from. Watches for the blind have not been refined since.. well, now. There basically are watches that speak, which is
Another AP or PAM?
Good Day All,I am trying to finger out what watch to get next, another AP to go with my AP Diver or another Panerai to go with my PAM114. This might be the last watch for a long time. The Panerai's I am looking at are the 233 and the 372 (I have a PAM372 on order but it might take a long time, They are now talking March/April). I really like the 233.The AP's I am looking are the RO (15300) this one has a glass back and the SS bracelet, The ROC (26300) with SS bracelet, Volcano, Panda and the Safari (Might take 6-9 month to save for the Safari, Panda or Volcano). I like the AP style. Thanks,Eric
Tell me more about this.
Hi everyone,I am just starting to really get into the history of Patek... So naturally I have questions. :PRight down to it, take a look here:clickyHere we have a PP minute repeater pocket watch; however the movement is unsigned by Patek Philippe, what does this mean? How does this affect the watch itself? The servicing on it? How would you steer a young man interested in this? Thanks for reading all.
Three months in!
And still loving it. So timeless. Wanted it for a long time, found it on chance at an AD. Number 2 incoming next week!
