The Breguet Classique Chronometrie 7727 Takes The Top Prize At The 2014 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie
Coming to you live from the grand theater in Geneva, watchmaking's top prize, the “AIGUILLE D’OR” has been presented to Breguet's Classique Chronométrie 7727. This simple appearing watch is anything but, and actually represents years of development, six new patents, and innovation in not only high-frequency calibers, but also magnetism and materials, all in a thin elegant case with welded lugs and an engine-turned dial that is true Breguet at its very core. Here we'll explain what makes this Breguet watch so special, and give you the list of each category winner at this year's Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve. "AIGUILLE D'OR" C Breguet Classique Chronometrie 7727 2 OF 17 The Breguet Classique Chronométrie has so much going for it, and in such an understated package. First, Breguet's master watchmaker patented the concept of magnetic pivots on November 9, 2010. The magnetic pivots of this watch not only remove
White gold in ss Diver?
According to Watch Time magazine, the hands and screws on the bezel are made of white gold. Anyone know if this is true? If it is, why would they bother making these in white gold?
Can anyone confirm there were 3 different Arabic dial versions on the Super Avenger 1
I am trying to buy a Super Avenger and it is very difficult because there are fakes that really look about 99% there. I am having trouble telling the difference between fakes and real SAs. If I could see the movement it would be easy but most sellers don't do this. Can anyone confirm there were three different dials? And better yet, any ideas on approximately when they changes to these dials? 1) I'm pretty sure this was the first Super Avenger, with the deep cuts and bigger Breitling logo, chrome surround on the DW, and AUTOMATIC written over the 6 o'clock subdial. 2) This one has cuts in 7, 8, 10, and 11. Maybe this is the second version?3) 2) This one has smaller Breitling logo and cuts into the 10 and 11 but not the 8. I have a feeling this is the newest version. The reason I'm asking is, prices are all over the map for Super Avengers. It doesn't make sense for me to buy one that is 13 years old if there is one that is 3 years old for the same price. I'm really worried about buying a
Bracelet links for Speedmaster 3330.20
First time poster here on the Omega forum. I've been interested in a Speedmaster and had pretty much settled on a 3570.50 - looks to be a great watch. Then I saw a 3330.20, DA 375.0034. This is a SS and gold watch and bracelet. Here's the concern. The bracelet is only 6.9 and I need 7 1/2. I know on the Rolex side, there are some trusted sellers who have many older Rolex parts. How about for the above watch? I certainly can't consider buying it if I can't wear it? Thanks!
3710 and water
Hi all!I'm an owner of pp nautilus 3710.My first love was and still Rolex, but got the pp bug and bought one.To the question:With my rolexes I'm doing everything ( swimming, sleeping etc etc)But because of the not scruedown crown of the Patel, I'm not feeling good to dip it into water ( although I've checked it for water resistance at my watchmaker)What do you think?Emanuel
