The Road To Basel Episode 1: Seeing The Unseen With Vacheron Constantin
You've followed us on Instagram and Twitter, you've seen the teaser, and now it's time to show you what we were up to all along the #roadtobasel. This will be a multi-part video series documenting Ben and Will's voyage from Paris, through Burgundy to Geneva, to the Vallée de Joux, back to Geneva, through the Mont Blanc tunnel to Lake Como and Milan, up to Lucerne, and finally on to Basel itself. In episode one, we visit the historic maison of one of the world's greatest watchmakers – Vacheron Constantin. When we told them we were coming, they asked us what we wanted to see. We said, "show us the three watches you are most proud of." And that's exactly what we saw that day in Geneva, and what you'll see here today – three previously unseen, incredibly important, and massively rare complicated watches from Vacheron's own internal historical department. 1 OF 3 The first watch dates to 1884 and is a two-faced perp
Dial restoration / refurbishing ? Any good source except SC?
Hi guys. I need some help.I have an AP Rubberclad white dial so i got bored of it and purchased an aftermarket Black dial for my RC model. However i did notice some slight blemish on the white sub dials and a tiny scratch on the sub dial marker and dial surface. I got the dial for a low price and wanted to get my watchsmith to to replace the dial and hands but now the marks have been bugging me. Ive seen many websites offering refinishing service for dials but im unsure of their reputation. Does anyone here knows where i can send the dial to get it refurbished as good as new other then AP service center?
Gold daily and scratches
I forgot how easy gold scratches, little hairlines etc. I've been wearing my TT Sub almost daily since I got it. Need to wear my LVc, probably feels neglected LOL. gold watch owners, what do you do to keep your watches looking fresh- cape cod or just leave it alone? Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
