Petite Heure Minute Paillonnee Only Watch 2015
"Paillonnage" is an ornamental technique that's almost three hundred years old. It involves using tiny pieces of gold leaf or "paillons" to create a raised design which is then coated in a layer of enamel to make it colourful, glossy and translucent. Burgundy enamel beams with sunray guillochage on the dial of this unique piece donated to the Only Watch charity and up for auction in Geneva on November 7th. Surrounded by a yellow gold ring with three screws, the hour rim unfurls its Roman numerals and black minute track on a white disc. Two yellow gold hour and minute hands and the 68-hour power reserve are brought to life by the 2653P calibre. The self-winding movement features a silicon balance wheel, twin-barrel and oscillating weight in yellow gold inside the 43mm yellow gold case. Unique piece C onlywatch
Help with my 15400
Greetings, as the title suggests, I am in need of some help with my new 15400. Just picked it up less than a month ago from a trusted seller here at TRF.i finished setting the date and time, and as I am trying to push the crown back in, I feel some resistance and as I turn the crown to tighten, I can hear this noise like gears engaging, the very sound you will hear when winding the watch manually. I managed to get it tightened despite this sound, but I'm wondering if this sound is normal ?.... I'm scared that I'm forcing the crown and wearing the gears?? Any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated....
Breitling Blackbird question
I dropped by my local AD today to look at a couple watches and the Breitling Blackbird caught my eye.I am wondering if anybody knows the difference between the Blackbird A4435910/B811 and the A4435912/B811.I'm thinking the 910 might be an older discontinued model and 912 the newer replacement model ???I'm in Canada and the price I was quoted was $6300 Cdn.plus HST. How much of a discount would be reasonable on this watch ?
I'm definitely getting a 5522A, Wait a minute I'm not getting a 5522A?!?!?!?!
The hype surrounding this watch has been unlike anything I've ever seen in my 10 Years of collecting. I am curious what some members experiences have been in trying to procure this piece. My goal of this post is to vent some frustration and get recommendations for a new AD to start a relationship with.I have known what used to be My AD for 10 years. I was basically introduced to watches through them and bought brands such as Panerai, Rolex, Patek and also referred some friends and family throughout the years and helped the staff sell some pieces as well. I found out that the World Exhibition of Watches would be held in NYC when I was invited to a Patek Minute Repeater Event at HSWA that my AD's store mgr/minority owner kindly invited me to. While at lunch on a break during the event I was sitting next to the Patek sales rep (Jim is amazing!) and he mentioned there would be some special pieces being made for the US market only to celebrate the Exhibition. After the lunch, My AD
Rubber B for Rolex
Hey guys! I have been trying to switch my bracelet out for something new for quite some time and am really into these rubber straps by Rubber B. I have both an Explorer II and a BB tudor. If anyone has one out there, I would love to see it on your watch! Opinions and suggestions are welcomed as well.
