Inside 101.1 And 102.1 Watches are hand-wound Swiss ETA Unitas 6498 mechanical movements
Inside watches are hand-wound Switzerland ETA Unitas 6498 mechanical movements. I like the large crowns off-centered. These watches remind me of what would be a UTS timepiece as if they had suddenly a thing for modern art. The price for these watches w & f will begin 1 790 euros.
Hublot to Follow Lego Guy and Make Modern Day Antikythera
The Antikythera Mechanism is the oldest known scientific computer, dating back to 100 BC.? Designed by the Greeks, all knowledge of the device was lost for 2000 years until it was rediscovered in 1901 on a shipwreck off the Greek Island of Antikythera.? Over a century later, we find out that the Mechanism is really one of the first mechanical devices designed to predict celestial events and eclipses.? In other words, it's a clock. ?If you think you've read this before somewhere else, you have.? We wrote those exact words when a dude replicated the Antikythera mechanism out of LEGO.? Now, Hublot is apparently trying to do the same (though we suspect not out of LEGO, unfortunately).? The Hublot Antikythera will be only 30mm thick (which yes, is super thick for a watch) but when compared to the original Antikythera at 20cm, it looks to be a rather impressive achievement.?As more info trickles out, we'll be sure to update you.(via Perpetuelle)

Help! Can't decide between 5167 vs 5712 vs 5164
I bought a PP AC 5146G a couple of weeks ago, and I am really happy with it. However, the purchase of the 5146 has revived my desire to add another to my collection. (Side story: I wore an Apple Watch for an year but got back into mechanical watches. I knew I had had one too many notifications when my wrist started experiencing phantom buzzes - it would vibrate even when I didn't have a watch on! True story.)Anyway, now I want to add another piece to my collection. I thought it would be an Aquanaut 5167 - love the simplicity of the dial, and like the idea of a rubber strap. However, I am now in 2 minds. If I am going to add only one more piece to my collection for the next 12 months or so... is the 5167 the right choice? I am very tempted by the 5712 and the 5164 too! Given that these models are all in high demand, I have not been able to try any of them. I have fairly smallish wrists at 6.7-6.8, so wrist size is definitely a concern with a larger watch like the 5712. Which one would y
Vintage Patek Philippe Gondolo ca 1960s
I inherited a 1965 Patek Philippe Gondolo black dial with white gold mesh bracelet from my late father about 20 years ago. When he passed away, I was still in my teens years and couldn't care less about watch so I asked my mom to keep it for me. I wore a funky Swatch and it was good enough for me. Fast forward 20 yrs later, I was on holidays with my family and stayed at my mom place. A few days ago, she was organizing her safe and stumble upon this time piece and gave it to me. I have completely forgotten about this watch and glad that I have found it again. The condition of the watch was not the best but I believe with overhaul and dial restoration or dial change, this watch will be quite a knockout time piece. The only thing that I notice is the mold aound the edge of the dial. The white gold mesh bracelet is still good condition. I have a few questions for vintage lover out there:1. Is possible to remove the mold around the edge of the dial or better replace the whole dial. If
