Pebble 'Time' Smartwatch Puts Pebble Back In The Game: New User Interface, Notable Design Updates
The original Pebble, released in 2013, was among the first widely accessible, and indeed hugely successful, smartwatches on the market. Its bulky, uninspiring rectangular case, black-and-white screen and nerd-friendly user interface did put many off. Today, a promising new replacement has been announced: the Pebble Time. It is, as you would expect, more refined in every way, from overall design, through user interface, to the ever-so-important display. With the Apple Watch being?released in less than two month's time, and with other?renowned companies like LG, Samsung and Garmin coming out with ever-more-refined and ever-less-compromised smartwatches, many considered Pebble to be out of the game. Their answer to those claims is the Pebble Time, which they like to refer to as the "awesome smartwatch, no compromises."Let's start with the overall design: the Pebble Time is 20% thinner than the original, being a truly slim 9.5 millimeter thick. The case, available in black, white or red, is
Need some help
Hello,First real post here, hope to get some advice on my next watch...I purchased a Offshore Diver about 6 months ago and I really love the watch. I wear it on a Safari Hornback strap and have ordered a Bracelet for it, however I have gotten a little bored and feel like buying another.I have been looking at the 15400 and really like it as well, but feel like I should try another brand of watch. At this time, the Diver is my only watch. The watches that I have been looking at are as follow:Rolex Two Tone GMT Master II (YG/SS)Rolex Two Tone Submariner (YG/SS)JLC Vintage Deep Sea ChronographPanerai 441And of course the RO 15400I have been back and forth on this decision and can't seem to decide as I find I like different aspects of each. However, nothing seems perfect to me.All these watch are roughly in the same price range after discounts; give or take 1K USD, with the JLC being the cheapest. Also, I doubt I could justify the Panerai as I think it costs too much for what it is. I jus

The Delrin Brake.
A lot of discussion has taken place on the use of a synthetic (Delrin) brake used in the Speedy movement. The brake is part of the stopwatch function and, possibly due to the self-lubricating and durability of Delrin, the change was made to this material. The controversy comes when you purchase the clear caseback models. Omega then changes the Delrin for metal, presumably for aesthetics rather than for functionality..For some reason, this piece of plastic (actually Delrin was manufactured as a synthetic stone) has divided the Omega enthusiasts into two very opinionated camps...Personally, I would like to see the Delrin brake, a space age composite that can be machined and colored, in the clear caseback models..
Need future Patek advice
Ok Patek owners, I need some advice. I am currently looking at purchasing a Patek next year as the crown jewel of my watch collection. I am trying to setup my collection so that I can have a nice timepiece for almost every occasion. My next purchase will be a bell and ross at the end of this year to go along with my omega as my most casual watch. The bell and ross I will probably wear with shorts and slippers, riding my motorcycle, etc. I live in Hawaii, so we dress down quite a bit. So getting a casual watch at the end of this year, Im starting to study up on Patek or AP as my best piece next year to complete my collection. I need some advice. I want to spend between 20 and 30k. I looked at a new aquanaut and nautilus and I really like them. I kind of want to buy new, but if you guys have good pre-owned stories then please share. Until recently, a timepiece like this would be completely out of reach for me. Thanks in advance.
