15400 blue or black
So i'm headed to Vegas for the CAALA lawyers convention and have an itch for a new watch. I love the RO bracelet so i'm debating a 15400 black or blue dial. Not sure the extra coin for the blue is worth it. what do you guys think?
INCOMING!!! Home Sweet Home!!!
Not really a new incoming but just received a well packaged box from Clearwater! After 17 days exactly, my RGRC is finally back home where it belongs. I had the crystal cleaned out, 3 years warranty check, brand new short strap, and polished a damaged buckle. The care and quality of APSC is unmatched. From all the horror stories of APSC recently, i was a little skeptical about sending it in. After inspecting the watch upon opening it, i am extremely happy with the result! The short strap feels so much better compared to the regular strap! Best part is the watch came set to exact pacific standard time! Here's the free gift...awesomeNow the buckle before and after:
Recent Auction Results
Anyone follow the Sothebey's auction results in HK this morning? .sothebys/en/auctions/...es-hk0789.htmlSome interesting results and I thought the catalog was very well put together with something for everyone. There seems to be a definite thawing of some modern-era classics like the 3970 (with a P selling for $130k), the 5970 (with a P selling for $190k) and the 5070 (with a P selling for $175, a new record for a non-sealed 5070P). 5970G and R were flat however.Nautilus performed well as well of course with a blue 5711 1/a selling for $60k, which to me is unbelievable. Who buys this instead of a 5070J/G/R for a little more money? Two enamel worldtimers in the catalog also did fine-average I would say with a 5131J selling in the mid 90k range and a 5131G selling for just slightly above $100k. What caught your eye? Have a good day.
5711 white vs 5711 blue
Curious as to the consensus here. Do you think that down the road, when the insanity ends, that the white will have more collector interest then the blue?
5726A grey or white 5396G
Which one is the better choice?Considerations:- long term value?- design?- practical? The last two considerations are, of course, highly personal. Just wanted to pick the brains of owners about their positives / negatives concerning these two different animals
