Watches NEWS
Burberry have equipped the movement with twin barrels
A new guard pin system developed for the watch enhances shock resistance. This reduces the risk of accidental displacement of the pallet fork. The high frequency of the movement has a significant thirst for energy. Burberry have equipped the movement with twin barrels affording the watch a power reserve of 90 hours. I particularly like the view of the spring barrels, visible from both the front and back of the watch.
Talking Watches: With Ral de Molina
There's a good chance many of you haven't heard of Raúl de Molina, that is unless you're a regular Univision viewer. His daily television show, El Gordo y la Flaca, is the most popular show on the network, and actually sees more viewers than competing shows on NBC, CBS, ABC, and Fox, combined. Nicknamed "El Gordo," Molina was born in Cuba but left for Spain when he was 10 years old after his father was imprisoned. He started his career in south Florida as a news photographer, eventually taking a beat that would bring him to the worst parts of Miami in the '70s and '80s – sleeping by the telephone with a bulletproof vest nearby in case he got a call. Milgauss 116400GV
HiI rarely see people talking about Milguass - neight the new blue dial or the old one. Milgauss is one of the Vintage Rolex - at least in the book.. but rarely seen in the market or even people wearing. How so?I am in the market for 116400GV - black dial with green saphire. Anyone owning and want to share impression? Also, anyone who used to own it please share your love-hate relationship too.Looking forward to the outcome from this forum :) :) :)By the way, is the Milgauss classified as Sport or Dress? The clasp is very unique. The look is mixed between typical DateJust and Explorer for me.
228239 White Dial
I'm a sucker for the Roman numeral dials. I've seen tons for DD40 offered for sale here with the blue dials and the anniversary green dials, but I don't think I've seen a WG white dial Roman offered. Is it not a popular watch or just the opposite? I'm thinking of adding that as my next piece if I can find it for the right price. On that note, what are your thoughts on a DJ 41 being offered with the white dial Romans? I saw that they added the slate dial green Romans in SS. Fingers are crossed they add the white Roman to the DJ41 lineup.
