German-made watches continually offer incredible build quality, remarkable tech and even in-house movements all at fair prices. Not cheap, but fair. The brands, which are typically not available at retail, usually command prices that take a commitment, but for watches that deliver far beyond what their Swiss counterparts would. Today, we are going to take a look at a brand that is new to worn&wound, but has been in existence for over 100 years, Hanhart.Founded by Willy Hanhart in 1882, the brand was originally based in Switzerland and then moved to Germany. In 1924 Hanhart created the first affordable mechanical stopwatch for use in track and field. NEED ADVICE:: BNIB SEALED or BNIB STORE DISPLAY for $750 difference or more???
When trying to figure out which PATEK to get I've contacted multiple AD's. After long deliberation process on which PATEK to get I've decided on 5712. I put a deposit down (fully refundable) back in July waiting for the piece to come in with an AD whom I've previously done business with. The piece came in yesterday BNIB and fully sealed.This morning I got call from a different AD but in the same general area saying that they have a BNIB display piece. Here is the problem. Difference between sealed and displayed is about $750 but could be $1000What would you do, get SEALED or DISPLAYED? This would be my first Patek and my second watch to my Daytona. I will take delivery of the piece in October as I would be in that general Area.Looking forward to post my first incoming!!Thanks

Rolex Limited Edition Turn-O-Graph
Maybe this has already been covered somewhere else on this forum?I was at a Rolex boutique in Tokyo on Saturday and they showed me two Turn-O- Graph watches they said were limited edition models for Japan only. They were priced at around 934,000 yen each. They had a white dial Turn-O-Graph with green Turn-O-Graph lettering and a green second hand; the other a black dial version. The lady with whom I was speaking said there are 300 of each being produced for sale. I tried on both versions. I have to say they looked great.My scanner is not working properly, so I took a few pictures of the photo cards she gave me. I also grabbed a photo off of a Japanese web site.
