Can't decide. Help!
I've been thinking of getting an AP ROO Rubberclad Rose Gold for at least a couple of years. But Everytime when I'm about to strike, I ended up being drawn into a PP Nautilus and Aquanaut. I still like that RG and black rubber combination a lot. But I'm always worried about the Rubberclad will worn off and look really crappy. I like my watches in top-notch condition, minimal scratches and zero dings. What do you guys think bout the rubberclad bezel? Do you guys have any bad experiences with maintaining that watch? Advice on first Speedmaster - Thoughts on 2009 38mm Day-Date & Ors
I'm in the market for a Speedmaster. I like most of them, but as cost is an issue I'm looking at buying the cheapest model I can get. I haven't spoken to an AD yet but was curious what the new price was (rrp) for an 'entry level' speedy.I've also come across a second hand Steel Speedmaster Day-Date 3220.50.00 2009 model at a jeweler that's probably 9 or 9.5 out 10 and they want $2,590 for it. Is this a fair price? or would this be quite close to the new price of a more basic model post haggling?Looking on Chrono24 I seem a bit unsure where prices should sit.I gather this particular day-date is 38mm. I have a 6.75 wrist and get on fine with my 40mm Rolex Sub and 44mm Panerai 112, am I likely to find the day-date unwearably small, my gut says no, but thoughts welcomed. Finally I haven't seen much by way of comments or reviews on the day-date, especially older models - anyone have an opinion I can factor into my thought making process? Thanks in advance.
Pam 441 or 438?
pam 441 or 438?I think both are great. but confuse which one to choose.. hmmm
Almost the last word on drivers...
In reverse order (from left to right) of best to worst, please find the screwdrivers I have used on Oyster and Jubilee bracelets of 36 to 40mm Rolex watches. The best is no doubt the Rolex 2100, the worst the Bergeon 1.6mm. A close second in bad is the 1.6mm Horotec. The second from the left is a fine screwdriver although the blade is ever slightly thinner than the one on the 2100. Please note that some of the drivers are marked as 1.6mm and others 1.8mm, some are concave, others flat. I hope this helps.
