Junghans Meister Handwind Watch
This is the Junghans "Meister Handaufzeug" or "Master Handwinding," a retro and classic dress watch scheduled for release in July of 2012. Based on the ETA/Pesaux 7001 movement, it's rather slim at 7.3mm thick and 37.7mm wide.?The design inspiration is a Junghans models from the 1930s, revamped to celebrate the brands' 150th anniversary. I think they did an admirable job. I really like the crown. Nicely sized for winding and tucked below the domed crystal.The movement is a classic, introduced in 1971 and used in the Blancpain 7002, Omega 651, Nomos Tangente, and many other watches out there. The 7001 has a 42 hour power reserve and is only 2.5mm thick. The movement, designed in an era of smaller watches, is narrower than the case so there's a gap between the edge of the sub seconds dial and the outer dial. Pain is knowing your FedEx delivery is on "hold for pick up"
I've been off site all week for work and I managed to pull the trigger on my very first AP. Had to have it shipped to my closest hub for pickup after hours. All day Wednesday I had to stare at my phone that said held for pick up. It was torture! Late Wednesday I was off to FedEx to pick it up.Wrapped up work for the week so I am finally able to relax and enjoy my first AP.A special thanks to Thomas (TSW) and Paul (Texex91) for guidance and a big bump for DavidSW who made everything very easy and comfortable - I appreciate the help from all.Already planning #2 - I just love it.

Does anyone know if only the tritium ones change? When they were made and when they switched to luminova? My watch definitely has something going on but it still glows like crazy.

Seamaster: Aqua Terra
Because there has been quite some show of Aqua Terras recently, it makes me want it more and more and more...There was a chance where I could get one earlier in the month, but I passed on it because it was a quartz. No harm there, but I don't think the asking price is justifiable, so I passed on it.Until last week, an AD-friend told me that one of his regulars wants to trade-back an AT he sold him some time ago, around last year or so - and asked me if I was interested in seeing it. I said sure - why not, I always wanted an AT in my collection anyway, and this one is said to be in great condition.
