Pre-SIHH 2014: Introducing The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept GMT Tourbillon
It's getting to be that time of year again - SIHH is just around the corner. That means you're about to see a veritable bevy of the new hotness hit on the 'Dinkee.? We'll start with a new one from Audemars Piguet - the new Royal Oak Concept GMT with a dose of remarkable white ceramic.? And that's not just on the case, either.? 2 OF 2 The Royal Oak Concept line is something of a skunk-works line within Audemars Piguet, pushing design and materials further than you'll see in traditional products.? Pretty excited, just ordered a BLNR Batman
So I decided to make this Good Friday a great Friday. Talked to my AD about how disappointed I was with this years release, and got to thinking about the BLNR. Asked if there were any available, and was told if I pay up front, I would get the next one. Don't ask questions, but I have bought 2 watches from there already. So I started rationalizing about it, I don't have a GMT, maybe PCL's would be nice on SS, I don't have a 2-tone Bezel, Batman might be discoed soon, etc etc.Long story short and $8950 later, I will now wait for my anticipated incoming.Oh, and all you guys are a bad influence!!!!!!!!!!!
rolex is growing on me
I always had a dislike for rolex. I thought of it as a flashy/snobby/overpriced watch. I had my sights on other watches like omega, panerai, and zenith. The entire time however i always wanted a submariner. I had a love for dive watches and the sub seemed to be the best dive watch for the money. I said it would be my first and only rolex I would buy. 4 months ago I started my search and was in the market for a submariner. Although on my quest I fell in love with the Daytona. Not realizing the market I thought I could just walk into an AD and buy one for msrp. Boy was I wrong. So back in september I pulled the trigger and bought my first rolex a submariner. Now I have a new found love for rolex . I went from telling myself I would never buy a rolex besides the sub ND to planning my next rolex purchase. Now my list stands at 3 watches I want:Submariner (Sept '17)Daytona-C Black SS (???)GMT Master 116710BLNR (???)when will this bug stop? On a positive note, watch for an inco
