Watches NEWS
INCOMING !!! - I hate you all !
Just got a 15400 and I liked it, it was nice, it was handsome, it was comfortable. It was a nice companion to its 44mm steel novelty cousin that was already a part of the small stable. But I really wanted something more 'daily' wear oriented, something that I can wear without too much concern for scratches and scuffs.I tried to ignore the numerous photos and advice that certain members around here were dispensing........and then I tried IT on.......and it SPOKE to me, and the deed was done. Out with the 15400 and in with .......well lets keep this a surprise until it arrives. But feel free to guess
Omega for Spectre?
Anyone know which Omega will be featured in the movie?
Omega PO or Pam 371
salesman at Omega store told me about new Omega PO with blue ceramic bezel and blue dial to be released in Sep. I have been looking for sport watch with blue dial only found 2 watches that I like - PAM 371 or Omega PO....any other suggestions?
Datejust II vs Datejust 41 (Side by side)
I am interested in the White Dial DJ. My local AD only has the newer 41 version but I have been searching the net all day to find a true comparison of the differences. I have seen many comparisons of the 2 models but with different features, colors, dials, numerals, etc. Does anyone have both (in the exact same configuration) to post a pic of the 2 side by side. Is there a picture out there on the net that can show the difference of the same models side by side? I cant find one and want to see both next to each other to compare the differences.it seems there are avid fans for both versions so I'd like to research a little before pulling the trigger. Thanks in advance.
Re: Rolex Accuracy - Damn Right!
Hi gang; Before I start let me say: I've been off the forum for a few years. Recently I've rejoined and I'm delighted to find this is still the best discussion group on the internet. Smart, classy and frequently witty posts are a commodity that never gets old. I'm proud to be a member. Anyway......Rolex has been refining their watches more or less continuously. Sometimes there are very noticeable changes like new cases, expanding the dial choices and even desirable bracelet upgrades. But I gotta' say the latest, and greatest movement upgrades are really impressive to me.My new Datejust, which I purchased about 8 weeks ago, has run *dead accurate* since day 1. Yes, it was adjusted for DST but the watch runs about -2 / +2 per day so minutes remain locked to the atomic clock. (My reference)I've owned 4 Rolex watches over 27 years and none have performed at this high level of perfection. In fact I always expect some 'slew' in a mechancal watch - it's the nature of the beast. But, wow this
