B.R.M. 3MVT-52 Three Dial Watch Available On James List
Three dials and three movements, this B.R.M. (BRM) 3MVT-52 (also known at the 3MVT-52N watch was origianlly released in 2006 and was to a degree a watch that was ahead of its time. Why? Because it was damn big at 52mm wide and in titanium. Each movement is an automatic ETA 2671 mechanical movement that has its own dedicated crown. Now you can understand the scheme behind the model name of the watch "3MVT-52" - three movements, 52mm wide. BRM watches all have a auto racing theme. Nothing says auto racing more than a checkerboard pattern, which is what the sides of the watch are decorated with over the titanium case. The frames around the case have drilled holes and screws and serve a nice cosmetic function to make the face of the watch and the three dials really pop out. I have a feeling most people walking by would give this watch a second take look.Like many BRM watches, the lugs are not only drilled but articulate for a better fit on your wrist. Omega Railmaster xxl stainless
Hello,I am thinking of selling the above watch, had it about 4 years purchased new from AD in London (Mappin &Webb). Ive only wore it a few times as got other watches so its in fantastic original condition. As anyone a ballpark figure of what its worth in sterling? Thanks.ps ive kept an eye on auction sites but this model rarely comes up.
Incoming vintage Seamaster
Bought purely on its classic looks, and Omega's reputation in the 40s, 50s and 60s, a 1952 Seamaster with bumper winding and subsidiary seconds. I know nothing about these, any knowledge / comments would be appreciated..finewatchco/OmegaSeamasterSMT1010.html
Upgrading the Explorer 214270
It's possible that a similar thread has been posted on this forum but I searched and didn't find anything. Anyway, here's my question. If one has the older version of the explorer I with the MK1 dial and shorter hands is it possible to upgrade to the MK2 dial with longer hands? If so, does the watch have to be sent to a RSC or can it be done at an AD? Has anyone done this? If so, how much did it cost? I have an explorer I with a MK1 dial and I'm really happy with it, short(er) hands and all, but I'm curious as to what options I have. Thanks, Robert
Will the ceramic BLRO insert fit on the BLNR?
So I'm in love with the GMT Pepsi but can't find one in a decent shape and the white gold one is rediculously expensive. Would I be able to get the BLRO ceramic insert? Will it fit in the current 116710?What do you guys think of that idea? Thanks for any thoughts
