There are just a small handful of truly meaningful watch stores in the United States. This group of forward-thinking, daring, and creative jewelers are, in some cases, responsible for breeding the generation of watch buyers that kept the entire industry afloat during some of its hardest times, and built it into the period of development and innovation that we are currently enjoying. Without these select watch retailers, there would be no industry to enjoy. Roberto Chiappelloni's Manfredi Jewels in Greenwich, CT, is at the forefront of this group, and today, we take an inside look at this amazing bastion of watchmaking. 1 OF 61 Chiappelloni is a believer in the great American dream. Despite all the crap surrounding this watch I have to say it's pretty cool. It's just simple Panerai no frills needed. I could do without the paneristi engraving on the crown lever but to be honest it's hardly noticeable which is usually the case with these things when you actually have the watch on your wrist as opposed to Internet pictures.
Changing around my collection
Recently I took the opportunity to change around my Rolex collection a little. After long hours of thinking, consideration and with a heavy heart I decided to sell my SD43, the rational was I already have the Sub and the SD4K and wanted something a little different and not so big. After a couple visits to AD's and narrowly missing out twice I finally pulled the trigger on the 116613LB a couple of weeks ago. To finish my collection and to add a little more colour I've managed to get myself on a list whatever that means these days? For the new GMT 126710 BLRO, so the long patient wait starts now.[IMG][/IMG]
