Chronoswiss Zeitzeichen: Artful Craftsmanship
Chronoswiss has teamed up with master craftsman Jochen Benzinger to create a series of 3 limited edition watches that showcase the arts of skeletonizing, engraving and guilloche to great effect. Known as Edition Zeitzeichen or Signs of the Times Edition , each model will be produced in a series of just 33 pieces. Each piece measures 44mm x 10.8mm and each is available in 18k red or white gold. The editions are known as Zeitzeichen V (floral, fully skeletonized), Zeitzeichen VI (floral, partial dial), and Zeitzeichen VII (dragon). These timepieces feature flat anti-reflective sapphire crystals, Chronoswiss-signature oversize onion-shaped crowns, sapphire display backs, and screwed-on strap bars with the patented Autobloc system. The movements are individually modified ETA 6498-1 running in 17 jewels and ticking at 18,000 vph (2.5 hertz). These engines have Incabloc shock absorption, Glycydur screw balances, Nivarox-1 flat balance-springs, and high-gloss polished pallets, escape wheels a
New Seamaster 300M?
Was browsing in the Omega site and noticed the Seamaster 300M both black and blue, come with a new bezel (is it ceramic?) and no waves on the dial?
INDUSTRY NEWS: Platinum Speedmaster 40th
The quintessential function-first, tool watch has finally gotten a healthy dose of gaudiness. It was only a matter of time before Omega decided that it needed to price a version of the Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch out of its core consumer's spending threshold. Available starting at Omega's new flagship 5th Avenue store in New York City - 69 pieces of the new 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Apollo 11 Moon Watch, in platinum, will tempt collectors. The watch case, bracelet, and hands are done in platinum. An 18k gold engraved plate on the caseback, and as the seconds subsidiary dial, are emblematic of the successful 1969 moon landing mission. The gold plate on the dial pictures an eagle landing on the moon, to celebrate the historical statement made famous by event stating, the eagle has landed.Even after 40 years, the watch remains very true to the original. Size of the case is 42mm wide, while the crystal is made out of an acrylic compound called Hesalite. Why not sapphir
5196g or 5296g?
I currently have a 5146g (cream dial) and 5167. I'm looking for a smart, formal, work/ wear with a suit watch.I did have a 5196g (that's a pic of mine below) but traded it for the ac.I like the classic look of the 5196, the clean dial but I did worry it was a little too thin. Then again that was when I didn't have the option of turning to my 5146.On the other hand the size and thickness of the 5296 is perfect, I like the sector dial but not sure if it takes it away from being a dress/ formal watch. Also I'm not sure about the date window, in fact if they'd left it out I think this would be an easier decision to make. What do you guys think? Any more pics welcome.
Hi All, need all the help and info . PP 5235 / 5170G
Hi allIn months time, (could be 1-2) I should hv the opportunity to make a very important decision, that's the ticket to PP club.Frankly very excited, as some one in the forum said All watches lead to Patek (sori forgot the member's name who mentioned that) and it takes me almost 20 years, and more than 120 watches to realize that ...has been focusing on indies watches for the past 8 years in fact.Well, better be late than never, and I believe this wil not be the last PP for me.Here's comes the dilemms.....I hv narrowed down to both PP 5235 & 5170G, and well my kind AD has given me the word, and support, I wil be the first on e list for both incoming watches. Actually, was given the priority to view and decide on the 5235, but on the nite before collecting the watch ( gotten info on 5170G) and well, my kind AD suggested me to think over or decide later when readyIn fact, I hv decided on the 5235 especially with all the positive words and review (a sincere thanks to bro Conkers, who
