The Sj?? Sandstr?m Royal Capital Is The Latest Luxury Watch From Sweden
When it comes to new watch brands on the market, we often encounter a lack of transparency with regards to the origin of the movement (for instance, a low-cost quartz ticker). If the new brand manages to pick up a mechanical movement of some sort, they still might bury it in the information, almost as if they are ashamed they have not created their own. With the new Sj?? Sandstr?m Royal Capital watch, things are definitely a bit different, in that regard. For starters, let us talk about Sj?? Sandstr?m. They are a Swedish company (not too many watches coming from there as of late), with roots going back to 1986. It was then that two engineers, Christer Sj?? and Mikael Sandstr?m, came together over a love of watches. Their first effort was an automatic piece produced in 1993, and a worldtimer introduced in 1997. Now, in 2014, they're introducing the Sj?? First Look: Highlights From November's Phillips Geneva Watch Auction: Two (Featuring A Rolex Daytona 6265 And A Rare Patek Philippe 2497)
Earlier today we told you that Phillips has a new international head of watches in ex-Christie's co-head Sam Hines – but we know what you guys like to see, and that's watches. So we're back to give you a small little taste of the types of watches we'll see in the Phillips Geneva Watch Auction: Two, taking place this November 8th. Patek Philippe 2497 Perpetual Calendar In Pink Gold 1 OF 10 The first watch we'll look at is a reference 2497 from Patek. The 2497 is considered one of the finest and most elegant watches made by the house of Patek – it is a perpetual calendar dating to the 1950s. The last time we mentioned a 2497 on HODINKEE was when we saw a spectacular example from the collection of a Mr. Jason Singer in this episode of Talking Watches. 2 OF 103 OF 10 This particular example is special because it is in wonderful condition and one of the few pieces made not in yellow gold, but in rose. The estimate for this

Minute repeater Tourbillon
Does anyone here own, or knows someone, who owns a Patek Philippe minute repeater Tourbillon? This may sound like a weird question...But does it feel like a $700K magical, supernatural watch on your wrist?
BB and GMT II
HiQuestion for those who have both, how does GMT II wear compared to the BB in terms of size on the wrist. Does it feel smaller or bigger compared to an in house movement BB ? I have the BB steel and feel that its just as big as I can go with respect to wrist size, any bigger and it will start to get uncomfortable. This is going to be my first Rolex , my wrist size is about 6.5 and I've pretty much made up my mind on getting the GMT II. Haven't tried the watch yet but will be making a trip to the local AD soon. Thanks! wrist shot to show how the BB looks on the wrist.IMG_20180222_065129.jpg
