Omega Seamaster Deville repair?? Help
I recently sent out my omega seamaster deville watch (1960's) for an overhaul and crown replacement. When I got it back the new crown was different from the one that was originally on the watch. It now is difficult to wind the watch, but it does work. Setting the hour hands work fine, but the date set position leaves the crown very loose. I did a youtube video to show the watch repair people that worked on the watch because I was concerned about how loose the crown was. Their reply was well, if the crown doesn't fall off, you're good. Here is a link to that video.youtu.be/cIiiWX8_s3cIs this something that can be fixed? Maybe it needs the proper crown? My research:Because I'm not sure what calibre the watch is and I don't have the ability to take it apart to find out the case back number, I'm at a bit of a loss in finding the correct crown for it. I did see some crowns that looked like the one I had on this website: .ofrei/page_147.html Not that I want to sink more money into this wat
New travel cases
Just received, bought on amazon. The coffin shaped is made by CaseMatix and the triple cylinder is made by CASEBUDi. I have a Wolf triple and an Oakley, but normally travel with a home rigged pelican type case that holds two watches.I never really warmed to the Wolf. While the quality is great, the design doesn’t work for me. 1. It doesn’t stay open on its own, the lid is strongly biased to the closed position. And since it’s round it rolls away or off a table if you’re not careful.2. One long pillow means you have to remove one of the end watches to get to the middle one. And picking up the pillow with three watches is a little precarious. the pillow is not rigid, so the weight of the watches makes it flop around. The CASEBUDi has individual foam pillows so you can remove whichever you like without having to mess with all three at once. With the zipper lid, it can be left open like a display and won’t roll away. The quality seems very good and the

Picked up a Black Bay in house black a short while ago, but didn't totally satisfy the itch. Been looking at lots of stuff online, and one day maybe a BLNR but none around and not willing to pay grey premium. Looked at lots of vintage but had a 1680 a couple years back and only kept it a year, so decided to not go back down that road. Other than that, wanted to try on DJ41 and Explorer.Local AD had the exact smooth bezel blue Oyster 41 I've been lusting after, and it's super nice on the wrist but a touch formal for me for every day, so I was willing to walk away. Also tried on a 36 but too small. When I mentioned interest in the 39 Explorer, they said they had one in back on deposit hold but they'd let me look. Yup, great look great fit. Pics online make it look bigger than reality, in case you are in doubt! Would I take one today if they had one downtown? Yes, but none. So they phoned the person with the hold, and got their OK to wait for the next shipment expected next month.
