GIVEAWAY: Egard Shade Black Automatic Watch
This month on watches-dealer you have an opportunity to win a limited edition (of just 50 pieces) Shade Black automatic watch by Egard. The brand is a father and son team who work out of Los Angeles and Toronto. The Shade Black is meant to be a contemporary dress watch, offering a unique take on classic themes. Though Egard does suggest the Shade Black "can be worn with just about anything."At 43mm wide, the steel case is in PVD black and contains a skeletonized Japanese Miyota automatic movement (a caliber 8N24). Some of the movement can be viewed through an open window on the dial, and more of it via the sapphire crystal case back window on the rear of the watch. The Shade Black is water resistant to 200 meters (pretty good for a causal watch), and comes on a black leather strap with deployant clasp. Retail price for the limited edition of 50 pieces Egard Shade Black is $1,295 and you can enter for a chance to win one below. egardwatcheswatches-dealerTo Enter You Must: 1. Comment on
Incoming 2254! I can't wait!
I have always admired the 2254, and with word that its being discontinued, made me pull the trigger. I was teetering between the 2254 and a 14060M COSC but I will get the Rolex next. I will post pics as soon as its on my wrist!!!
PAM 441 and the ceramic bracelet
I have a 441 model with the OEM brown strap. I went to the Panerai boutique store in NYC to purchase the ceramic strap to replace the brown strap. I was told it is not possible and the ceramic strap will not fit the 441. So i purchased a black smooth leather strap and it looks quite good. However, as i browse TRF i have see a number of 441's offered for sale with the ceramic bracelet. I even saw the trusted DavidSW selling a 441 with the bracelet included as well as the brown strap. Can any one knowledgeable the model advise please? Thank you
which one of these watches is the best value
hello everybody,i'm a rookie, both to rolex and watches in general. after much looking around, i have decided on a new submariner 116610LN. so i checked with a couple of ADs nearby here's what i got offered:model - price - wait time114060 - $6,400 (2-3 months)116610LN - $7,300 (1-2 months)116610LV - $8,165 (3-4 months)116713LN - $11,785 (ready stock)the questions i have are: - are these good prices? i've read on several threads here that 'how you buy' is important. this will be my first luxury watch, so i don't have a relationship with any AD. it seems expecting a discount is normal, but it also seems no AD has the SS subs in stock, so i'm thinking why would they even discount it? - i am noticing that these are below list prices on the rolex website. now, i started off wanting to buy a 116610LN, but if the prices on some of the other models are better (in terms of resale value), i don't mind buying it.for example if the $100 watch will resell for $80 but the $200 watch will sell for
