Am I Crazy for Liking the Moon to Mars Edition?
Just picked one up - seems the consensus on these is that they're not particularly cared for among Speedy enthusiasts.I'm not necessarily a purist, but I like keeping things original, generally speaking. The watch came like this from the factory, so I'm fine with it.Mine in particular has a nice reddish hue to the Mars subdial, which I like better than some of the other pictures I've seen.I think the piece is super neat. Am I alone in this thought process?

Here is a perfect reason why you see the phrase Buy the Seller so often on TRF.Thanks to an excellent transaction with krlyuzh (Kirill), I am very happy to post a few wrist shots of my new-to-me, birth year Speedmaster Professional 145.022-68 (Cal. 861). I have been searching for one in good mechanical and cosmetic condition for many, many years and I'm very appreciative to Kirill for bringing my search to an end. It has the applied Omega logo, very sharp dial/hands/bezel, all chrono functions work properly, and it has just been tuned up by AC Watchwerks. I have put it on a DaLuca Horween Cordovan Nato Zulu.

I was at Jared on Monday paying my monthly payment. This Jared has a PreOwned counter. I had a 42.5 mm PO with a black bezel and black numbers and sold it a year and and 1/2 ago. I have a 16610 Submariner and it looked to close. Well I spied this 45mm Orange PO, $1899.99 PreOwned. I tried it on and it was one link short and the bezel was jacked up, it took vice grips practically to turn it, so I told the sales girl....no thanks. Then she says, I tell you what, I have a new one in the case over here, I'll give you that one for the same price and send this one to warranty to get fixed but I can only gove you a 1 year warranty with this new one. I bit for the new PO for $1899.99 plus tax and I love the 45mm PO and always had. The orange just pops, instantly recognizable IMO but I just wasn't gonna pay retail for a new one and I didnt have the cash to buy on here or on TimeZone. Speaking of TimeZone, it's looks like no one is buying there. All the add's have 0 replies......my 2255.80 has N

Do you check accuracy on your watches?
As you may know I started with Rolex used to be,3135 and especially the 4130 mvmnt is pretty accurate if well regulated and staying so for years.My 5712 w the cal 240 was okay initially 1-2s/day but seems we are after the honeymoon phase ,during the day is very accurate but it does 5sec w dial up overnight and 1-2s if left on crown up or down.You may say it s time to regulate however i m afraid we talk about weeks for a simple regulation job-which is about 5minutes if you bring a Rolex to the RSC-.:-(Any experience with the rate stability of Pateks ?do you think it s better to live with it and wait for a couple of months to see if it s getting worse.Thanks for your input
