Orbita Privee RX Watch Winder Review: High On Looks, Low On The Rest
Orbita is a well regarded watch winder manufacturer here in the US, as many of you know. They recently released their Privee RX single watch winder to a limited number of people for a discounted price. I was eager to get my hands on one of these luxury watch winders as I could never pay the retail price of most luxury watch winders, which is in the several hundreds to thousands of dollars. The Orbita Privee RX, which I will refer to as the "RX" was originally designed to be sold with a Breguet logo, but the deal went sour with the Swatch Group. Having designed the winder, Orbita decided to market it directly to the consumer. Frankly, I think this is wise, I only wished the RX was a better winder. I cannot speak for any other Orbita winder, as I hear generally good things, but the RX is a sub-par watch winder in design and function. Frankly, my investigation of other Orbita watch winders yielded positive results for the most part, and this review strictly concerns this one model. The pack
Caliber 3120 accuracy
Just a week into wearing my white diver I've noticed something unusual which has not happened with my Daytona. Although mechanical movements are known to be far from accurate, they should be gaining or losing at the same rate each day, right? With my daytona it's consistently at +5 seconds per day, which is fine cause I know it's due for a service but I'm refusing to send it in as if now. But this is what I have noticed with my diver. Day 1: +3.5 secDay 2: +9 secDay 3: + 16 secHm... are these figures alright? Or is it time for a service. It's still under warranty. Thanks!

Submariner in exchange for Airking and Milgauss?
I currently own an Airking 116900 and Milgauss 116400 black dial. I am keen to own a Submariner and would be interested to see if its worth swapping them for one or waiting 2 years in UK for one to be available???
Possible Explorer II Price Increase
Just an FYI from a conversation I had so take it for what it's worth. Was at an AD with my BLNR and SubC this morning and chatted with the watchmaker for an hour. Well into our conversation about watches, safes, insurance, etc he mentioned he was made aware by Rolex that the Explorer II's will be getting a significant price increase soon. Possibly as early as Feb. Mind you that I was in an AD so it may have just been bait on a hook, but he was WELL aware from our conversation that I won't be purchasing another sport piece anytime soon and my next piece will be a Cellini. I think if he had just been throwing around bs to get me to walk out of there with another Rolex, he would have substituted Explorer II with Cellini because I tried on 4 different variations of it. Again, take it for what it's worth.
