Hands-On: With The Bulgari Octo Maserati, A Limited Edition Column-Wheel Chronograph With Lacquer An
Usually when big brands present co-branded watches, whether with fictional crime-fighting superheroes or prominent aviation firms, there tends to be a what is perhaps a fair amount?of eye-rolling on the part of watch enthusiasts. In essence, these co-branding exercises tend to be much more about quick marketing, buoyed by lots and lots of legal paperwork. I don't think that the Bulgari Octo Maserati is necessarily an exception to this rule, but there is undoubtedly something to say about the understated way that this old Italian brand continues its partnership?with, well, another old Italian brand C Maserati C to present a?limited edition timepiece in?celebration of their shared anniversaries in 2014. Plus, the use of a manufacture movement?and two old-world finishing techniques on the dial add a lot more substance to the package. 2 OF 8 A benchmark of Bulgari's watchmaking division, the Octo collection is known for its Art?Deco-influenced angular case design, seen here
Help deciding - 5980R, 5726 1A, 5712 1A
Trying to decide between these three Nautilus models and wanted to ask the opinion of the forum. There is no big gap in my current collection, so this is not expected to fill any particular need smile My criteria is that the watch needs to be a good collectible, highly desirable in the marketplace, and one that can hold its charm/value over time. Something that can be worn and not just stored in a vault. The 5980R is definitely more formal and dressier than the other two and I loved the gold/brown combo. The 5726 was very clean. The blue on the 5712 is gorgeous.Just for reference I have a 5146G (annual calendar) and an 5167A from PP. Also have a AP Dual time - steel bracelet with black dial. Appreciate your views....
Leather Strap Vs Oyster Strap

Tudor Pelagos: alignment of hour markers
I am owner of the blue Pelagos. I have noticed that 2 of the hour markers seem to be not placed into the slots such that the markers would be perfectly in the middle. When watching a review by Urban Gentry on youtube in 1080p, he shows an upclose footage of the dial and somewhee between minute 8 and 9 one can also see at least one of the hour markers not be perfectly placed. I was never sure how to explain this. Especially tudor one woumd expect no flaws visible to the naked eye.
Additional Options for Precious Metal Daytonas?
I might be a little late to the party, but it's been a while since I've visited the Rolex website. I just checked it out today and I saw a variety of Daytonas in precious metal that I hadn't seen in the past. I find the one below particularly stunning.
