The lume is not very strong or lasting, but that's not the main strength of the ROC anyway. The key thing is... The ROC looks great when the lume is illuminating :)
new addition - Forged carbon 44mm AP
For a long time I had been looking at Audemars's collection online but never had a chance to try one on. About a month ago I bought my first AP Volcano without trying it on, and really fast I fell in love with Offshores. I knew I will add another one very quick but couldn't decide on which one to add. There are so many nice ones, Bumblebee, Diver, SS 44mm, RG 44mm and FC 44mm. I flew to Vegas last weekend to try new Chronographs and finally made my choice - Forged Carbon. I have WG, RG, YG, SS, bronze, titanium, composite, ceramic pieces in my collection so I thought I must add Forged Carbon piece next. Especially thanks to Phil and Thomas for helping me make my decision. Not sure how many Forged Carbon lovers are here on forum, but you must see it and try it to really appreciate it. A Patek dilemma
I've been an active member of this great forum for quite some time now, but this is the first topic I've opened about a non-Rolex watch. I'm sorry about the very long post.I've gone through numerous watch brands and several sub-$5000 watches in the past few years. My modest collection currently includes a Breitling Colt II Quartz (the beater), a SS Sub-C LN (the everyday wear), an Omega Speedmaster MoonWatch from 1969 (the vintage watch), and last but certainly not least an AP Royal Oak 15300ST (the one for special occasions). I want to extend my collection slowly, by only getting one watch per year. I'm also determined to get only one watch per each brand I find interesting, and make sure not to add multiple similar watches to my collection. I also don't want to trade in any of my current watches to fund a next purchase, so one can consider all my current watches keepers. As you can see, my collection so far is geared towards sporty models. That is because despite being in my 30'
Bad idea?
