Nothing Says 'Stingray' Like An Extremely Boring Charmex Watch
I don't blame you if you nodded off for a moment. These are incredibly mundane watches, enough so to put you to sleep. They talk about Rolex being an old guy's watch. No. THIS is an old guy's watch. Talk about uninspired and boring. This represents what is bad about classic design. No risks, nothing interesting. Just plain 'bleh.' It is not that the Charmex Stingray is ugly, it just makes me want to pass out with boredom.The Stingray name has been given to so many cool things. Sports cars, sporty sunglasses, sport boats, a cool cousin of the shark, and now one of the worlds most blase representation of the time. Why this name? Perhaps it was a legacy name that 80 year old Charmex of Switzerland watch company used, but honestly; a better name would have been "The Non Offender." Frankly, the name "Charmex" itself is not great in my opinion either. Hi All,I have been looking at the 39.5 Planet Ocean, with the leather & rubber strap. Does anyone have one of these? I'm looking to use it as a daily wearer - and usually prefer steel bracelets - does the rubber lining solve the problem of leather straps absorbing moisture during sports etc?Thanks

So the white gold BLRO has in fact not been discontinued but instead ha been morphed if you will. My first reaction was that the blue dial version of the Pepsi was simply a gimmick which breaks with historical DNA just to keep the high margins on this piece flowing. This may very well be the case but I see more now. While breaking with the Pepsi black dial history, the new blue dial is in line with the Rolex and other manufacturer history of offering certain blue dials exclusively on PM pieces. I am looking forward to seeing this dial live because I think it may be chameleon like, especially with the matte shading and could look almost black in certain low light conditions and very blue in bright sunlight playing nicely off the hues of the bezel. Rolex and others have also historically offered more interesting or chameleon like dials on PM pieces and the blue Smurf dial is an example.
