Don't get me wrong, that market for luxury play things comes and goes, but these days it is hard to promote a several hundred thousand dollar watch from a newer brand that looks like it was meant to appeal to fans of traditional watch making who are also weekend militia members. That is the case for this sportier version of the Cecil Purnell La Grand Date Tourbillon watch called the "Pit Lane V12."Cecil Purnell is a brand that is really trying to legitimize itself, but they only probably need to sell a handful of watches each year to stay alive. According to them they ONLY make tourbillon-based watches, and subscribe to the "true values of haute horlogerie." Now that sounds like a BS marketing statement if I ever heard one. One month wearing the Avenger Chrono...
Wears great and still looking at this beauty every day.I like the Tungsten Grey dial.Contacted my AD for an additional rubber strap, and received a mail.I get this strap for free, due the fact that I bought a month ago this Avenger and Rolex for my wife there.Super service and happy that I can change sometimes the strap for variation.

Discount on 116613LB?
Hi all,I currently own a few watches (Breitling, Panerai) and have been looking at picking up a Rolex for some time now. I have settled on the two tone Submariner (blue / steel+gold) 116613LB. I have a couple of local ADs here -- I have heard that some discount and some do not. Should I expect a discount on this model? Everyone I have talked to said no discount on steel, some discount on gold watches... haven't heard much in terms of the two tones. Plan is to buy new. Expectations? Planning on shipping it to my out of state residence as well.
