Oris TT1 Pro Divers Regulator 1000m Video
I posted just a video review of my Oris TT1 Pro diving regulator 1000m, also known as the Der Meistertaucher. I took this watch with me in vacation, and she performed wonderfully.
Review: Techne Sparrowhawk II
The Techn Sparrowhawk II stands out in the inexpensive chronograph market. It is a well-executed aviator with sharp styling, great build quality and the added perk of an interesting movement at its heart. At $269 one does not usually expect something unique, but Techn manages to pull it off. The aviator market is fairly saturated, with offerings from brands across the price spectrum, from Timex to Steinhart to Bell & Ross. It's a look that does not change very much from brand to brand, but the Sparrowhawk II achieves something refined, that is clearly an aviator, yet not derivative. ?Combine this with the Meca-Quartz chronograph within and you can begin to see how the Sparrowhawk II is more that just an affordable watch, it's genuinely innovative.Case: PVD Coated 316L Surgical Stainless SteelMovement: Seiko VK63 Meca-Quartz ChronographDial: Black w/ Off-White indexesLens: Mineral w/ AR coatingCase Back: ScrewdownStrap: Khaki CanvasWater Res.: 100mDimensions: 41.5mmThickness: 11.7
Video on some soon to come things....
I just stumbled across this video. I can't believe I did see it when it was released 4 months ago! I even looked for this type of content. So last year I saw a video with the CEO reference a new in-house chrono. I've been told it would be in the ROO. Here the CEO references it again and also references two up coming directions for the RO. This new chrono movement will be in those. An informative video and maybe good things to come in 2017. https://.youtube/watch?v=P_mCHDVk
Patek 3970 moon question?
Does anybody know why some of the pate 3970 white gold or platinum versions have yellow gold moon and some have white gold? Also, is it possible for Patek to change the yellow gold moon to white gold or are they strict regarding this.Any insights regarding this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Long Awaited Incoming
Well after waiting almost a year and not being able to find one of these here in Maryland anywhere, I finally caved and decided I didn't (couldn't) want to wait any longer. So here she is. Thanks to a flawless transaction with Takuya, my slightly used ( and by slightly I mean 11 days. I thought only person that bought a watch and then changed my mind a week later) my new SD43. This thing is definitely all that I hoped for and wanted. I loved the JC DSSD but it was just too thick. I love subs but wanted something that felt just a little tougher. The band on this is so well proportioned and the tapered lugs make it look even better. I have a tiny 6.5 inch wrist, but with the diver's extension removed it fits me as well as any other sub. Finally I am a member of the club. Now watch my AD call me tomorrow and say he has mine lol. Thanks for reading.
