As the name suggests, this new 45mm diver is good to a whopping 2000 meters, meaning this bad boy is about as mean a diver as you could ask for.? Watch Spotting: Vladimir Putin Wearing A Blancpain Grande Date Aqua Lung While Signing Treaty To Ann
If you've been watching the news, you'll know that earlier today Russian President Vladimir Putin declared Crimea a part of Russia in a ceremony at the Kremlin. After a speech in front of parliamentarians and various regional governors, Putin sat down with leaders from the peninsula and signed a draft treaty annexing Crimea. We couldn't help but notice that there was a watch prominently displayed on his wrist. After a little research we deduced that Putin was wearing the Blancpain Grande Date Aqua Lung, a limited edition from nearly a decade ago. 2 OF 2 The Grande Date Aqua Lung is a special edition watch from the Léman collection. Here Putin is wearing the stainless steel version, though there was also an edition in rose gold. The case is 40mm and relatively slim at 11.4mm, which is why it slides under a suit cuff so easily. I really love the FC and have enjoyed wearing this day in and day out.However, the urge to pick up something new has now arisen and I came across a mint Jarno Trulli at a local dealer... Accuracy?
I've had my BLNR for nearly a year and it was brand new purchaced from an AD. I wear it every day and at one or two weekly intervals I reset the time and give it a bit of a clean. Up until a few weeks ago it's always been pretty much running +2 sec fast per day, which is within spec and very consistent. However a few weeks ago it suddenly jumped to +3 sec per day average. At first I put this down to maybe I made a mistake when resetting the watch, but it's been a few weeks since then and it's definitely the watch...It's still well within the warranty period so should I return it to the AD or just leave it and see if the accuracy improves or gets worse? For your information I usually check the time against 'Time.is'.
