New member intro + pic request: Rubens Barrichello II Ti
Hey folks,Long time Panerai owner here. I've been looking at getting into an AP ROO for quite some time now. I was first convinced the Panda (older style) was the one for me... then switched to grey themes ti... then switch to the new panda... then settle on RG RC... then fell in love when I saw the RB2 Ti. For AP owners... did you have the same experience of not sure what I want for your first AP or did you guys/gals know right off the bat? Also, I've looked at every pic on google for the RB2 Ti. Can any owners post actual pictures of this watch? Last question... I have a relatively small wrist (6.2). I currently have a Pam 48 (40mm) and a Pam 88 (44mm). I've had the 88 for the last 3-4 years and think it fits fine. Will the ROO (specifically the rb2 ti) look massive on my wrist?Edwin
AP 26320 TPD required
Ok guys so I've finally pulled the trigger. I'm getting the AP 26320 rose gold (silver dial) on leather strap. Paid advance token money today and will be getting my watch in september .. I'm excited, can't wait!!! Will be posting pictures on a incoming thread when I get it :)So I will be putting the watch on a winder, does anyone know what are the turns per day required and in which direction to wind the watch. I was trying to search on google but didn't get an answer. I know I know its too early to be asking these questions but want to know before it arrives. Thanks
5164A vs 5712A
Hi guys I'm looking to add my first PP into my line-up but having trouble deciding between the two: Aquanaut Traveltime 5164 and Nautilus 5712A. While I've had the chance to see the 5164 in the metal, I've so far only seen the 5711 in real.My thoughts until now are that the aquanaut is much sportier and might suit my age better. Also my classy sportswatch spot is already kinda taken by my AP15202 jumbo. However I also already have the gmt batman thus the traveltime function seems redundant, altho I very much like the overall look of the 5164. Then again the Nautilus is legendary and the more I look at the 5712 the more I like it (won't be able to get the 5711 here from an AD anyways). The micro-rotor movement is stunning too. But I feel like I would be too scared to wear the 5712 much, similar to the 15202, considering the delicate finish. The Aquanaut seems more everyday friendly, although my gmt is already my daily beater. For the 5164 I'm on the list in Zurich and was told it should
New watch. How tight should the bracelet fit on wrist?
If it is too loose will the movement cause streching?
Five year old watch breaks for second time
Purchased a sub c just over 5 years ago and wouldn't even call it a daily. Two years in it stopped and was told while still under warranty a jewel had come loose and jammed the movement. Received full service at the time Today just 3 years later I've been daily wearing it while down in Florida Swimming etc but certainly nothing out of the ordinary. All of a sudden it just stopped. Tried winding but seems nothing catches when I'm trying to wind it. I can change time and date no problem but nothing will get it going. Mainspring? Lube job? Stem problem ?Really though. Twice in 5 years. I beat the snot out of my Seiko daily and still runs like a top
