Christopher Ward C9 5-Day SS Chronometer Review
When Christopher Ward first announced the C9 5-Day SS Chronometer (SS for small seconds), I was immediately very excited. It took their awesome in-house 5-day chronometer movement, the SH21, modified it to be hand wound and feature small seconds at 6, put it in a modestly sized case, and styled it in the classic aesthetic of Marine Chronometers. In doing so, it combined a bunch of things I really liked into a very aesthetically pleasing package. To make things even more appealing, they gave it a very compelling price point of $1,780. Not cheap, but a solid value for what the watch offers. After all, no one else is offering anything close to a 5-day COSC movement at this price.The watch is also was a bit of an interesting departure for the brand. While they've had the C9 line going for some time, the Marine Chronometer aesthetic is a change, but a very welcome one that makes a lot of sense for the brand. Omega now as good as Rolex
Had to laugh at an Omega Boutique today, I was just having a look when one of the sales person asks if I want any help. I explained I was just looking and as Omeaga are pricing there new PO's close to Rolex Subs I would rather go Rolex than Omega, at this point he said Omega were now regarded as good as Rolex and people think of them as equal to Rolex. I could have said I don't think thats the case but feel I would have lost the battle, I know Omega have got better but I don't think they have caught up Rolex yet what do you think.

i read on another site while browsing that you should never unscrew it without reason- this makes sense, but being a typical man i have already done this without reason because...'it was there'have i done something terrible- i still dont understand it being that i will probably not go much deeper then 10 meters

Recent Addition (5-digit content)...
I've had my 116710LN for a little over 7 years now and had always wanted to add a Polar 216570 to my collection. I am supposed to pick it up tomorrow from my fave AD. However, during the 3-week wait I started going back to look at 5-digit references, specifically the 16600, which I had always had a thing for as well. Prices have been creeping up for a while now, yet I had hesitated to pull the trigger.I finally found an M series 16600, that looked to almost be NOS w/ all papers, accessories, etc for a decent price. Well, it arrived today and I am thrilled. I was worried it may be top heavy as many people have complained about, but honestly, it is one of the most comfortable watches I own and of similar size to my Marathon GSAR. I thought the Polar 216570 would be my daily wearer, but now I don't know...the 16600 just melts into my arm, if that makes sense. Anyways, just wanted to share my excitement...now I'm looking at 16570s, which I know is dumb with a 216570 waiting on me.
