Need help on an Omega
Guys I am usually a Rolex guy, but I have just came across an Omega Speedmaster, I must say I have no clue where to even begin on this watch. Here is what I do know. The numbers on the inside of the watch back are 105012-66. The band is an omega band but the gentleman told me it is not original. Also the case back has been engraved. What can you tell me about this watch? When was it made? What is the value on something like this? Thanks and hope to learn something about this watch.
5970P v 5270P (yet to be announced...)
So as some of you know through private pm or personally knowing me I sold my 5970G and 'upgraded' to a 5970P. Being that I've given up on finding a J 5970 and have no interested in a 5970R what are your thoughts of trying to acquire a 5270P in addition to the 5970P once it's announced? I'm hoping the new 5270P will have the exact same dial as the 5271P we saw at basel this year. My plan was originally to save for a 5004P black baton over a few years but I'm sort of on this kick of wanting to have some of the new technically superior in house movements patek is making. Though I love that new black 5204P I can't get over the upside moonphase....I know I know it's a small thing but it really does bother me (same reason I just can't get one of those gorgeous 5396G tiffany's with the breguet numerals)...I love astronomy and I'm sorry but the moon and stars are in the sky....not on the ground. Anywho, yeah my goal was to save save save for a 5004P....but that is an older movement (basically
Aquanaut only in 40mm?
Just checked the PP website and only saw the Aquanaut in 40mm Is it not available anymore in 36mm ... Did i miss the boat?
I did something stupid....
But I am happy. As some of you know I was looking for a dressier piece to add to my collection without any luck. Yesterday I was talking with My AD and he showed me the amazing 5711 in blue (Hard to get and you need to be on a waiting list). I had bought the white 5711 a couple of months ago and I am very happy with the piece, but once I saw the perfection of the blue dial I was hooked and said What the heck. I know most of you would disagree in getting two of the same in different color but the 5711 in blue is a must and breaks any logic. You have no idea how this dial changes hues, its like its alive.... simply stunning and ridiculous at the same time. I can also blame Puffy and Mike for their amazing photos (LOL)..... just intoxicating in a good way. At the end of the day if I get bored I know any of the 5711s would easily find a loving home. And to make matters even worse (hehe) my AD ended the day with a cherry on top, and as a companion for the blue 5711, he threw in something so
