Historical Perspectives: Welcome To September, Now Go Read Two HODINKEE Classics
It's September. Summer is officially over, and the world is waking up from its months-long slumber. We've been hard at work preparing a veritable onslaught of original content for you in the coming days, weeks, and months, but before we get to that, we wanted to point out two articles that are certainly #HODINKEEClassics. If you missed these two stories, you're just not doing it right. 2 OF 3 The first is in-depth look at the Double-Swiss Underline Rolex Cosmograph, also known as the very first Rolex Daytona. Fois 2017
It has been nearly 5 years since the watch was released after Baselworld 2012. A lot of what Omega are planning for the 60th of the speedy moonwatch has been discussed and speculated over the last few months.I was wondering if anything will be announced for the FOIS for 2017. Last year's CK2998 was a limited edition so was not readily available. I would love to see a similar colour change for the current FOIS. So discontinue the black dial and bring out another numbered version of the panda with the white dial would be my perfect watch. This could make it a decent and viable option for those seeking a smaller speedy but don't want to go down the racing/reduced route.
While Rolex decide...
what to do with the Daytona, I have my sights set on this one...

Hi all new to the forum here. Been reading lots of posts from you guys and thought id join in the fun!I will cut to the chase i started my collection in 2015 and currently own: Cartier santos 100xl full diamond set (my first watch)Also: submariner 116610 black dialI am now ready to add another rolex to my collection and tbh since buying my submariner i dont think id ever buy any watch other than a Rolex. The 116515ln on choco arabic dial in my opinion is the nicest looking rolex by far. I love the leather black strap combo with the rose gold amd choc dial.Would really like you guys opinions on this watch? And if anyone owns one sone wristshots would be great! I have a 7 1/4inch wrist. Also what is the resale value like to be like in 5 years or so? Just out of intetest.
