RG 44 dining at The Ritz
We've had some talk that the 44 ROOs can't easily be worn with a suit so I thought I'd wear my RG to the fanciest of dinners; Puttin' on the Ritz. It fit just fine under a normal shirt and suit and I completely forgot I was wearing the watch the entire time. However this was part due to the most wonderful dining experience. The dining room is majestic and makes you feel like a prince, but then the glorious food and impeccable and friendly service had me elevated to feeling like a king. I also ordered a dish off the menu, my favourite, and they made it specially for me and even with no supplementary charge. It was a Tournedos Rossini, a filet steak topped with foie gras and black truffles. It happened to be the fave of the sommelier too, word had got around of my special order, and he was so excited to see it he actually brought my dish out and removed the cloche himself to present it to me. I should have offered him a bite but luckily he had drinks to pour elsewhere Other highlights i
Tool watch owners ... When WON'T you wear your watch ?
So this question goes out to anyone who owns a Rolex they consider to be a tool watch. If you have a SubC, Explorer, ExplorerII, DSSD etc. is there a situation when you would not be happy wearing your watch ?Would you wear it to go climbing up a rock ? Snowboarding down the side of a big mountain ? White water Rafting ? Basically I'm asking even if you own a watch that is considered extremely rugged, when do you draw the line and say nope, not risking my Rolex on that.
My Summer (Beach and Pool) Planet Ocean
Pound for pound, I think these PO's are a better value than the Sub. This is a lot of watch, for a decent price indeed.
SMP Discount Expectations
I'm looking at a SMP 2254.50 and am wondering what sort of discount others have got when they have purchased this watch (or other Omegas). The first time I walked into the AD they almost immediately said they could include the tax (works out to a 14% discount).Any thoughts on whether the non-coaxial watches will be further discounted to make room for the new models?
Must get 3940
After many many months of researching where to start my PP journey I have settled on the 3940 in white gold, with the sapphire case back. Now the question is finding one. With a 20yr production run I thought it would be easy but I'm finding only a few advertised on Chrono, mostly with a German dial.Turning the question over to forum land - can anyone out there help me locate one? Thanks!MikeSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
