Jaeger-LeCoultre will take the members of its online community on an unprecedented technological journey during the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH). The journey begins on January 18 with the unveiling of an exceptional new timepiece. This video hints that it may be something rugged. At 4.15 p.m. on January 19 Geneva time, Jaeger-LeCoultre will open the doors of the SIHH with a live Webcast given by the brand's Marketing Director, Stphane Belmont. The 30-minute talk will be followed by a live blog, which will allow members of the Jaeger-LeCoultre online community to ask questions about the brand's new collection.JLC fans will also be able to consult a website created especially for the Salon throughout the week that will publish statements by key participants in this adventure, characterized by watchmaking innovation, research and the newest Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces. Two cutting-edge IT tools will also be available at the Salon:– A TAG, available from the Jaeg
Bring a Loupe: A Rare Speedmaster, Two Chronographs With Famous Movements, And A French Diver's
This week's Bring A Loupe brings us back to the 1950-'60s era with some rare watches from Longines, Minerva, and Rolex. Time-only, chronograph, and dive watches are all represented here, underlining the timeless beauty of vintage timepieces. We have also selected the best lots from an upcoming Omega auction in Sweden, including a very nice Omega Speedmaster with an interesting orange hand. This is your Bring A Loupe for October 23, 2015. A Very Rare Longines, The Reference 2160 With Mushroom Pushers 1 OF 12 Usually, I don't feature non-functioning watches but I had to make an exception for this Longines from the 1930's. You can immediately see how rare it is, with one glance at its mushroom pushers and another at the legendary 13-ZN movement with fly-back function. The downside of this watch is obviously its poor condition, from a washed-up dial to a movement that needs some serious servicing. It is evidently too special to be called a project watch
AP 101 - Help
Hi All,I'm from the Rolex Forum (couple floors up)Pretty well versed in Rolex watches at this point but know next to nothing about AP. Find AP references to be extremely pretty but confusing because of all the different models. I like the RO but am never clear about all the different sizes. Can anyone attempt to explain the lineup to me? For instance, what is the most popular or best selling AP watch? What is the submariner equivalent (in terms of popularity and recognition)?
Weighing in at 149.5 grams and 40 mm wide
Is the Sub the perfect balance between weight and size? 149.5 grams and 40 mm. I wonder how this compares to other all time favs.
Post you're HULK with figurines
I will get the ball rolling
