Resale value
What are your guys thoughts on resale value of entry level Pateks? I have pretty much come to the conclusion that a watch I buy from now on has the potential to be flipped up. So far I have more or less broke even on all of my flips up. I don't flip instantly, but rather over a few years of careful wear. I'm pondering a more conservative watch and I don't really understand the resale of Pateks (and APs for the matter). All I ever see for sale is near mint examples. Hard to tell what resale is when 98% of the watches being sold are near mint.So will a 5167 or a 5711 hold its value if carefully worn over 2-5 years? It is also a more interesting price point. It seems watches under 10k sell fairly quickly, but north of 15k and they sit a bit. I'm not saying I'll sell it for sure, but love the fact that I can keep flipping up my watches without losing much if any. If I were to buy a Rolex, most I'd lose is a few hundred, what about a Patek if I decided it wasn't for me?TIA.
Unboxing PAM 510
I've got this PAM from Panerai Boutique during my short trip to Munich last week. First, was looking for Pam 5 or RL Explorer II but somehow I brought this watch back home.It looks like Pam 111 indeed. And I like this OEM strap very much, very soft and thick.Pam 510 P5000 inhouse movement 8 daysLike the strap.Last picture with wrist shot

Rolex Service in Aus?
My new to me GMTc arrived a few days ago, has been loved and worn by the previous owner, it's a 2008 watch, and from what i can tell it hasn't been serviced. I'm already pretty committed to taking it to an AD here in AUS, or the RSC itself in Sydney, just to get it serviced and checked over and start my journey with basically a like new watch. I know the service price is quite high, but i'm willing to pay for it considering I want everything spot on and guaranteed perfect. This is pretty much a question for you Aus owners out there, do you think this is a good course of action, or do you have any recommendations in sydney that you think would do a equal if not better job for a lower price? If they can't compare in quality i'm happy to hand over my money to the RSC.
