Watches NEWS
Omega Watches Will Be "Officially Certified" By New Swiss METAS Certification, COSC Abandoned
Today, Omega has announced some very exciting news in regard to how it will certify the performance and accuracy of their timepieces with in-house produced movements. In short, Swiss Omega watches will abandon COSC Chronometer certification in favor of a new and more comprehensive certification by the Swiss government controlled METAS agency. One major reason for this is that moving forward more and more Omega watches will contain the company's Master Co-Axial technology which includes both a unique type of escapement as well as anti-magnetic properties. According to parent company the Swatch Group, Omega is about to offer what possibly is the most comprehensive and extensive way of certifying a mechanical watch. Let's see what?all this means in practice.Watches, and especially higher-end ones are sometimes sold with certain certificate issued by third parties C the most common being the COSC chronometer certificate (Rolex is COSC's biggest customer).? Which AP is this?
Hi guys,I'm trying to find this (see pic) vintage AP, which was my dad's favourite watch. The watch was stolen when he passed away. Long story :(Does anyone know what AP is this? Model name/code?I know - even if i have the model name, it wouldn't be so easy to find the watch thats up for sale anyways... But at least if i have the name, would make my search easier :)Thanks!
Is this a Breitling??
Can anyone identify this Breitling? Thank you to anyone who can respond.
Tried on the Dark Side of the moon!!
Sorry, no pics...but it is on display at the Boutique in NYC - My impressions....From initial view behind the glass...it's fairly unassuming - almost plastic looking...After putting it on and watching the light catch it...it's quite amazing...Shiny as hell, and the brushed/polished combination is really striking. The Cordura was more comfortable than you'd think, and actually looked pretty good...the Dial was stunning...pure liquid metal type sheen (in fact it is ZrO2)But, it was very light - a minus for me, a plus for others...Overall,,,it is a killer piece...The price hadn't bothered me, but when you look around the boutique a little more...the Speedmaster professional moonwatchWith Aventurine dial blows it away!! (for 500$ less) - and a more beautiful lemania movement on display, and moonphase...Also, the redgold deville chrono blue dial was just so amazing, that no other watch came close...I admire the Darkside, and think it is a great timepiece...but I have to bow out from the wait
Need some thoughts on how this looks on my wrist. PO 45.5mm
What do you guys think? I like big watches (I have 44mm PAM) but wondering what other's think just because I want feedback.Thoughts? Much appreciated.
