Artya Son Of A Gun Dancing Skulls Watch
When are skulls on a watch the less controversial choice? When skulls replace bullets of course. As a limited edition (of perhaps only one), Yvan Arpa's Artya brand based out of Geneva has created a special piece for Halloween 2013 of his Son of a Gun watch collection with skulls on the dial - as well as on the bracelet. This is perhaps the first watch I have seen with a dedicated bracelet made of skulls. It also may be the first bracelet from the Artya brand. Whether you are into wearing skulls or not, this is a watch worth knowing about if you want to be a well-rounded watch collector. What is it about mortality that makes us like to consider its end? We love horror movies, zombies, morbid fashion accessories, and other allusions to death. Few people actually wish to die, yet we love to play with the notion of death in an almost quasi-rebellious way that seems to suggest, "I've conquered death by embracing the notion of it while I am healthy." Or perhaps wearing skulls is more barbari
Parmigiani: Watchmakers Of Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow
The Parmigiani Fleurier HeadquartersOne would imagine that spending six full days with a watch brand is long enough to become comfortably acquainted with them and ask pretty much everything you want to know. That is true a lot of the time, but on this occasion, even after five nights of little sleep, nearly two thousand photos and many in-depth conversations, I feel a need to return and learn more. Nevertheless, I walked away with a new-found knowledge of history, watch making tradition and haute horology after checking out the Swiss brand, Parmigiani Fleurier, a world we bring you in two parts. In this article, we first discuss how Michel Parmigiani's ambitious undertaking and the generous help of the Sandoz family collectively resulted in a true manufacture. Next, we look at what it means to transform from a restoration workshop into a modern watch making company, heavily responsible for the future of the trade. Finally,?we discover how a few individuals and a company can be the bridg
26320ST on Rubber White/black Dial??
Hey guys,I currently have a white dial 26320st. Long story short I am getting a bit bored of the look and have long wished I picked a black dial instead.I am considering ordering a black rubber strap for it. Along with the strap I am also considering a dial change from white to black.Do you guys think the black rubber will look better with a white or black dial? Does anybody have any pictures? I remember a member on here with an older white dial ROC on rubber but I forgot his name. Wach something.Any input or pictures (or even photoshops) will be appreciated.Thank YouKenny
Happened before?
In the past, have the more experienced members on the forum seen prices for certain Rolex models go up drastically like they have for the LV? If so, have you seen these prices come down in the future? I ask because I love the look the of the LV, and want to purchase one. However, they are all above MSRP. I am wondering if the members on the forum have seen prices go up before and then eventually come back down, or do these generally tend to stay up. I appreciate any advice. Had a little work done in Boca
To my watch, of course ...Added a factory diamond bezel to my 18038. I know some of you aren't diamond guys, so that's cool ... but I am :)
