New 39mm ROC Panda
The 41mm Royal Oaks are just too big for my wrist, but I like buying new so this does rather limit my choice. Last summer I picked up my first AP, a 39mm RG dual time which i really enjoy wearing (but only for best!). So I wanted to add a more casual 39mm RO. The 15202 is a lovely watch but too close to my 5711. Then I saw here that Lapince had bought brand new blue 15300 on chrono24. This got me having a good look at the new 39mm ROs offered on chrono24 and there are a few. I guess these have just been kept in dealer safes for some reason. A panda 39mm ROC NOS was available which ticked all the boxes so decided to go for it. I just received it today after getting a maintenance service done by AP for the seals. I think it looks fantastic and I'm delighted with it. The size and fit is just right and the black and red aspects really set off the dial. Unfortunately the prices of the watches become so expensive because the same public is the one that makes them rise in price and that only makes them earn a lot of money not only the gray sellers of course also the one who provides themA little story. Many years ago an Audi sport coupe had gone on sale. I think it was the TT and a used car dealer offered it at 37,000 dollars. A friend of mine who was known to the seller asked him why he offered for that amount if the official price was 31000 and directly he told him that he got it from the official dealer and distributed those 6000 difference.Today I'm seeing gray dealer signs that have many Daytona 116500..where do they get them ????

Biggest Rolex Store in US Has No Sports Models
So, I walk into the massive Rolex boutique in NYC this afternoon, the one that’s in the same building that houses the U.S. Rolex headquarters .... and not one steel sports model was available, and only a couple of yellow gold models. No Subs of any sort, no Deep Seas, GMTs, no Explorers or IIs, and of course no Daytonas or the new SD. Nothing. Just hundreds of other models, such as DJs, DDs, and women’s watches. Sales rep told me they won’t get any more until after Christmas. Not sure if that’s BS or not, but it seems insane that the stock at the biggest store/dealer in the U.S., which I believe is run by Wempe, doesn’t have any basic sports models heading into the holiday buying season. I knew this was going on in Europe, but I assumed you could still get a steel Sub, for example, with relative ease at a dealer. I assume it’s like this elsewhere across the U.S. Go figure.
