HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 150: A High Rolex
Did you know that in a store deep in the streets of Hong Kong is a Rolex Oysterdate watch with a pot leaf dial? Whether or not it is aftermarket or authentic, it does exist. John and I are almost officially Rolex fans at this point and we discuss our current feelings about the brand. Omega gets some love as we discuss the Seamaster Aqua Terra 15,000 Gauss with its highly anti-magnetic movement. We then switch gears to discuss Casio's pretty darn awesome G-Shock GW9400 Rangeman, and the muse of Konstantin Chaykin's world's first mechanical hourglass timepiece.Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 150 here. Changing Dials on my AP ROC 26320st
Hey all,I recently purchased an AP ROC 26320st with the black dial. I'd like to know if it's possible to swap my black dial, with the factory white dial. Could I send the watch to AP and have them make this swamp? Would experts on this forum discourage this? I can't see how this would bring the value of my piece down, as the 26320st is a universal ref # for both black and white dials. Other than cost, are there any negative side effects' to swapping on these dials? Thanks,BostonRolexIG: pcakes508
Where to find a nice vintage Navitmer
Guys,A Navitimer has been on my wish list for a while now and I foresee one in my future within the next few months. I have spent about 4 months deliberating between the 43mm or Vintage with a flirtation in between with the Sinn 903. Whilst preferring the Breitling I am more inclined to look towards the 41mm size hence Vintage would seem to be a logical choice. All that said Vintage is a new world for me, its a scary world at that and I am keen to avoid the likes of trusted sellers that may not be known to me or worse still the likes of ebay. With this in mind a Bricks and Mortar Vintage dealer would be a preferred choice - any tips on where to start looking?
Caseback question
So I recently put some money down on a 42mm 2500 Planet Ocean at my Local AD. I got a fantastic deal on it better than used prices are going for here so needless to say I'm pretty happy so far.Now for the question I see that the new 42mm Ceramic models have a clear caseback. Would I be able to have my AD actually order a clear Case Back from Omega and install it on the watch? I wasn't sure if case sized are anything were different from the 42mm 2500 to the 42mm 8500. Any tips would be great thanks
Bad news...
There is a Omega AD in the lobby of the hotel I am staying in Vancouver. I went in an spoke to Jorge (sales manager) about the liquid metal PO. Nice watch. I am here until Wednesday... I hope I get out unscathed. I want a explorer :)
