I don't know if this is old news, but I just read a Hodinkee article saying 89 vintage AP watches from the personal collection of Marcus was purchased by AP and headed to the AP museum..hodinkee/articles/the...udemars-piguetSome of you may know that Marcus has a large AP dealership on Bond Street in London and is also well connected in the watch industry.I have a book from the Marcus AP exhibit back in 2012 and some of these vintage pieces are nothing like their current Royal Oak collection AP is now better known for. Vintage Omega shopping
Hello all,I was out and about today and ran across a little vintage watch shop with a great selection of Omegas.I really like the Seamaster Chronograph and the Chronostop, which has an original Omega leather strap and deployant. I'm not sure of the actual value of either.They both need a good service/cleaning, but otherwise they are in great shape.They also had the Speedmaster 125! That thing is a beast! Two-Tone DateJust old mans watch ?
It's a question I'm sure we've heard before but after seeing these new chocolate dial DateJust I've got that burning feeling inside telling me I need one.I've alwsys been a bit put off from two tones as I've heard many times before that it looks like an old mans watch , until last year never liked the DateJust, I now own two steel models but feel now that it's time I got a gold steel version.I have subs , GMTs , YM and a Gold Daytona , I'm 41 years old now so maybe Its time ?
