Doxa Launches Diving With Legends Book and Watch
Peter Millar's book Diving With Legends profiles some of diving's greatest living legends, and Doxa Watches was proud to be on hand to help announce the launch of the book and a limited edition Diving With Legends watch. Several icons of the deep included in the book were on hand for the launch, and the event was made even more special as several members of the Doxa Watch Forum traveled from near and far to meet their diving heroes and share their Doxa diving stories. The legends in attendance included David Trotter, Martha Watkins-Gilkes, Dan Crowell, Richie Kohler, Howard Hall, Ralph Wilbanks, Stan Waterman, Paul Oberle, Leigh Bishop and Jarrod Jablonski. In his presentation, Dr. Millar introduced the book and its contributors. Following the presentation, each contributing author was presented with a copy of the Diving With Legends book, as well as a limited edition Doxa Sub 1200T Professional Diving With Legends watch. Based on the new Doxa Sub 1200T, each of these high-quality dive
Roger Smith "GREAT Britain" Watch Specially Made For Prime Minister David Cameron
One of our favorite English watchmakers Roger Smith (Roger W. Smith) just announced that he has completed a watch commissioned by the British government for Prime Minister David Cameron's Legacy to the 2012 Olympics. Called the GREAT Britain, this is the latest in Roger Smith's series of bespoke timepieces produced on a made-to-order basis. The watch was commissioned by Conrad Bird, the Prime Minister's Director of Communications in 2012. Why? It was part of the Prime Minister's 2012 Olympic Games Legacy. Is Roger Smith late in delivering the watch at the end of 2013? No, in fact he is probably a bit early.Roger Smith produces each watch by hand, by himself, in the most traditional of manners. He is THE protege of the famed English watchmaker George Daniels, and he lives and works on the Isle of Man located between the UK and Ireland. There is a several year waiting list for his watches and he produces two types of pieces. First are ones in his "Series" collection that are limited in p
Strap on my PO 8500
I had this croc/alligator/caiman strap in my watch drawer for the last 4-5 years and just remembered it was a 22mm - the same lug width as the PO.It is very comfortable. What do you think? It's needs a little more padding, but I kinda like it.Rob
16520 prices
In the past month or two I've noticed that the prices for Zenith Daytonas seem to be on the rise. Whereas one could be had for around $8-9.5k a couple months ago, it now seems these are trading hands for $10-11k+. Has anyone else noticed this trend? I'm guessing this is a direct result of the discontinuation of 116520.
Pepsi in WG and SS - why?
Seems strange for Rolex to offer the Pepsi in both metals. I get the different dials and braclet but this seems odd to me. Thoughts?
