Navitimer 01 43mm / New leather strap
Hi guys I own a beautiful Navitimer 41mm with the calf leather band. It even enjoys as much, if not more, wrist time as my Rolex GMT2 Unfortunately the leather is wearing out and is starting to look a bit shabby. The leather strap with the folding clasp costs AUD$590 in Australia Any suggestions where to get a new original one at a good price? Or maybe a different brand but I'd prefer it to be as good or better quality as the original ones? Cheers from Down under! Ken
Polar Plaisted Expedition Speedmaster
Has anyone seen this on the 'Bay?.ebay/itm/SCARCE-OMEGA...item20bfd2c64bAccording to seller, they have documentation from Omega that it is one of four Speedmasters given to the expedition crew. Interesting history, but wonder if that history will bring anything close to the buy now price! Will be interesting to see what happens, if sold through the 'Bay.Does anyone have any sales history of other famous Speedmasters, such as those documented to have been worn during space flight?
Patek AD Visit
I stopped by my AD today just to look around. I hadn't been there for quite awhile. It's a good thing too as they just recieved a couple of Pateks. This is the first time I had ever seen a Patek Chronograph in person. They just recieved a 5170 which they had ordered 2 years ago. Gorgeous watch, I'm sure someone will purchase it fairly soon. They had a couple of 5130's, and a 5205 Annual which looked real nice. Then he showed me a 5726 which was real intriguing. Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures but I really did enjoy my visit, I definitely saw more than what I expected to see.
If only ONE!!! BLNR or Bluesy Sub C
So if you it came down and you were a one watch guy ,Would choose the BLNR or Bluesy Sub C as an all Rounder ? Or maybe flip Sub C Bluesy for Sub C date LN?LVC is a non starter... The Bluesy is so much more stunning than the Sub C Date LN imho... though BTW, PM is not an option ... I know it's all a matter of personal preference and both (BLNR & Bluesy) are stunning in their own right ... Just wondering what my fellow TRF'ers would choose and why ?
