Royal oak open worked...courtesy of WCL
Our good friend from the forums Submarino has really been cranking on putting up articles on all kinds of watches. He's definitely an AP fan but keeps it very well spread out amongst makers of all kinds...That being said though, this piece he wrote on the open worked is beautiful!.watchcollectinglifestyle....tainless-steel
BUS Service
Decided to comply with the 5 yr + 2 yr Navitimer 01 warranty requirement of sending my watch in for its 2 year service.I was expecting to pay $220 as per their website. Turns out it's free. They found my watch to have low amplitude.Moral:That if it's OK don't service it mindset may not always be prudent. I may have diverted near future movement major issues by accepting a possible $220 tab. As it turns out, only incurred the $37 cost of shipping via registered mail.Projected turnaround delivery is under 4 four weeks from when I sent it in.
My First Omega - Seamaster Planet Ocean 2200.50
I have never had the chance to own an Omega - until today! When my purchase from TRF arrived. It is the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 45mm. I was so eager to put it on when I opened the box; only to find out that the links, are not as easy to remove like the Rolexes or the easy strap-changing system of the Panerais. It was too late to bring it to the watchmaker to have the links removed to fit me; so what I did was this - put it on my black NATO strap which has been sitting on my drawer unused for about a year! Was able to utilize my NATO; and it worked out great! Oh, and by the way... IT LOOKS AWESOME!!!! Wanna see???
